Re: Rayman Legends
Well I'm actually going to buy the Wii U, so no problem for me. But the leaked trailer calls it "Wii U Exclusive Content." Remember that Rayman has always been on every console. I doubt they would make a sequel for just one. They announced more systems for Origins much later after the game was first shown.
Re: Rayman Legends
Yeah, considering that Origins got ported on every single current-gen console around, I find it hard to believe that Legends wouldn't come to that at some point? Other versions might just miss Murfy as a playable character. Personally I'm not interested in getting Wii U anytime soon, and one game alone isn't enough to convince me just yet. I've done that mistake several times already *xbox360inmyclosetcoughcough* and I know better now..
And oh gosh all that artwork that was posted on previous pages.. That's some perfect wallpaper material! ;_;

Is there something in the world you don't hate?Mammothphant 2 wrote:When i readed the story it disappointed me a lot. I mean again too simple story? I almost hope Gabrielle Shrager leaves the Rayman team after RL. Deep and unique stories are what Rayman series need but the new members of Ubi Montpellier seem to think that the hand drawn look and visuals of the Ubi Art engine can save everything, no way, story is part of the art as well, especially in Rayman games. Well maybe the RL story will be deeper inside, or else ill stay in what i said.
Im definitely not getting a Wii U. I think its a stupid system. Its like Wii, but one player uses a special controller to manipulate the screen, that just dont make sense to me. It sounds like money making, because those who have Wii and want to get a Wii U are forced to buy another Wii with just few new features. It also seems to make gaming more complicated, instead of simple fun (like Wii). Wii is great, because its based on simple fun, but Wii U is exactly the opposite.
Giving sometimes critic for big companies doesnt mean you hate them, it means you know they could do better.
And now, this is a masterpiece! I completely felt that R2 action feeling! This game gets better each time!
And I don't know if anyone noticed already but isn't this Hoodlum Headquarters?

Really? I disliked the Wii for the same reason you dislike the Wii U.TeensieKing wrote:Im definitely not getting a Wii U. I think its a stupid system. Re: Rayman Legends
I hope the final release has better level names than ‘Teensies in Trouble’.

Re: Rayman Legends
I was very disappointed with the level names in Origins, but now at least this won't be a surprise.
Re: Rayman Legends
So one of the paintings they get sucked into is of a medieval world, so does that mean the other paintings will be playable worlds with different themes? I wonder what the other themes will be, I'm not too keen on medieval-syle stuff.

Re: Rayman Legends
We already know that one of the worlds will be based on Greek mythology. It looks reminiscent of Disney’s Hercules for the PlayStation.

Re: Rayman Legends
O_O damn, that's sad, RayFan D:

This makes total sense. And actually, this hints that Rayman Legends won't be completely medieval. With the paintings, rayman can have adventures through different eras! now that we have confirmed the Greek level, I can totally imagine.... oh yeah, here it comes.... A WESTERN LEVEL!!! (with music similar to Chasing for a Dream!!)THEdragon wrote:So one of the paintings they get sucked into is of a medieval world, so does that mean the other paintings will be playable worlds with different themes? Re: Rayman Legends
Suddenly those stuff make sense now. It is funny how they are having access to Earth eras. I think this also explains now the presence of the warrior human girl.

Not at all, Lividstones and Teensies still inhabit those paintings, suggesting that the levels are still partially based on the Glade of DreamsHaruka wrote:Suddenly those stuff make sense now. Re: Rayman Legends
They won’t be Earth eras – just Glade of Dreams locations inspired by them, in the way that the Land of the Livid Dead in Rayman 3 was inspired by Ireland. As you can see in the Legends demo, Rayman and company aren’t exactly slapping their way around an accurate representation of historical 12th-century England. All of the levels will be similarly fantastical (that is, unless the Assassin’s Creed crossover is much more significant than we thought.)
I wonder if the paintings will teleport the heroes to various locations around the Glade, like the Spiral Doors in the Hall of Doors? Or will the worlds actually exist within the paintings, like miniature universes? Come to think of it, Super Mario 64 never really established which of those scenarios it was going for...

Re: Rayman Legends
Oh right, I'm sorry. What I wanted to mean was "inspired in Earth eras". I was only thinking in the landscapes and I forgot the characters.sergiomonty wrote: Not at all, Lividstones and Teensies still inhabit those paintings, suggesting that the levels are still partially based on the Glade of Dreams
If that's true, then it is a much better pricing. But still, it will be impossible for me to buy a Wii U in release or close to release. Unless a miracle happens.Oh, btw, Haruka, you might like this almost confirmed rumour:

Really? Is there any source for that? Well, I know Ireland's landscapes are quite green and pretty.spiraldoor wrote:(...) in the way that the Land of the Livid Dead in Rayman 3 was inspired by Ireland. (...)
