Seeing as how sticks is a playable character, its only right that she be on the cover. My complaint is that the release date is horrible, since Im buying 2 smash games, persona q, and a bunch of presents.

I really don't get your vendetta against new characters OCG. Did you honestly expect them not to include other characters? This is a new continuity, and a new world after all. Besides, I believe they announced returning characters from the main series would appear at some point. Heck, Orbot, Cubot, and Metal Sonic were announced awhile ago.

My vendetta against new characters is simple. I am just SICK of them. I still think Sonic Boom should have been with only Sonic, Tails. Robotnik, Amy and Knuckles. Metal Sonic, Fang and Mighty maybe too. But most are just bad characters.

Oh, BalenaProductions? You mean the same BalenaProductions who's videos are 90% gmod stills? The same BalenaProductions who makes useless, intentionally shitty and unfunny Sonic Zombie and Dinosaur + TF2 Character videos instead of just creating Sonic in Jurassic Park?

The Zombie videos are probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I find his other videos great. Sonic in Jaws and Scared Stupid Part 2 are done really well for G-Mod videos. As for Sonic in Jurassic Park, he doesn't have everything he needs for it yet.

New Sonic Boom info came out, Shadow and Metal Sonic are returning and we have a new trailer.
Disappointed that Metal and Shadow's designs were pretty much unchanged. Metal I could understand, since it's a robot. Shadow just sticks out when it comes to the character redesigns, I wonder if other characters from the main series will get the same treatment?
My thoughts on the game are still the same, I'm not impressed, it will probably be a rental for me. The trailer itself was good though.

Is it just me or does that one rusty robot in the trailor resemble the robot from Treasure Planet?

Nope, that was probably the first thing I noticed when they showed that character.

While I understand leaving Metal Sonic more or less the same since he's a robot, I was hoping Shadow would have a bit more to his redesign. He hardly looks any different. Hawaiin Shirt Shadow is sounding real good right now
Game looks good but the Wii U version is something I probably won't buy on release. The graphics seem to have improved a lot, though some textures are still rough around the edges.

That was my first thought too, he's like a mixture of B.E.N and Rusty Pete from Ratchet and Clank: TOD.

Now this is some EXTREMELY odd news, but Sonic armor was announced for Monster Hunter 4...
Nope it's legit, since it's on Capcom Unity itself. Interesting to see Capcom and Sega make some sort of collaboration.

Well, Mega Man and Sonic already meet eachother in past so this is not first time SEGA and Capcom collaborate

Caliburn looks really nice in that. Surprised Black Knight would be referenced, but I'm glad, since it is one of my favourite Sonic games.

The gameplay is flawed but pretty much everything else about it is pure gold to me, and the gameplay is fun enough for that to matter.
The soundtrack is by far one of my favourite soundtracks ever. The mix of the typical rock from Sonic games, with heavy Celtic vibes, is something I adore. Not to mention the upbeat nature of the songs, and lengthy compositions with a lot of variation. In particular, the menu themes are pure beauty, and make me really relaxed.
The graphics are some of the best the Wii has to offer, and the art direction is also really superb. They did an excellent job of recreating the medieval and Celtic inspired landscapes. Despite the linear levels, the world feels alive and vast because of this. And even when the level themes repeat in the second half of the game, they manage to change them up a great deal, giving them a darker tone to fit the story's direction at that point.
The story is fairly short but really well put together, with a lot of interesting themes in it. Some moments or the themes represented are quite dark, but they are presented in a way that feels appropriate for a Sonic game.
And perhaps my favourite element, is the characterisation. For Sonic in particular. All of the characters in this game are great to me (heck, I kinda wish I could see Merlina again, even though we never will), but this game has, hands down, the single best portrayal of Sonic's character ever (with Secret Rings, Unleashed, and Japanese Sonic X being honourable mentions). If someone asks me "what is Sonic, the character, like?", I point them to this game. I'm too tired to go into why right now, but it's a big factor in why I love the game so much, and it solidified Sonic as one of my favourite fictional characters.
As for the gameplay, it definitely has problems, but they weren't big enough for the game to be no fun or unplayable to me. I still enjoyed most of the levels enough. And it was good enough to lead me to all of the other golden aspects of the game. So it's still a favourite of mine.
Also, unlike most, I don't see anything ridiculous or goofy about Sonic with a sword. They actually used it as some pretty nice symbolism of his character, and if Sonic were to use any weapon, I reckon it would be a sword. I love mowing through enemies with the buzz-saw attack too, its so satisfying.

Black Knight - Favorite Sonic game
LOL GET A LOAD OF THIS GUY EVERYONE!
Won't be surprised if you tell us how Unleashed was a fantastic game.

I'm fully convinced I could provide a much more compelling argument than it's detractors. With ease.
It's definitely the Sonic game with the most obvious, genuine effort put into it in a long, long time. Generations being a close second.

Just saw that Sonic Boom trailer posted a month ago. I won't lie, that actually looks great, I'll probably buy it.
