< just got O2Jam which is a rhythm game in the same vein as Beatmania, but it took a while to get the songs working

< slept well last night despite laying down at 1:00 AM.
< enjoys summer for many reasons, one for being able to sleep in more often.

< hasn't been to the seaside in ages, though it's not exactly an easy day out if you live practically 100 miles away from any beach :(

< used quotation marks on that word to explicitly show the reference Mr Dark is making to how the lava is making the area hot.

Quotation marks are used to signify a metaphor or a pun, especially if it isn't in your face enough already. The room is literally hot because there's lava in it, so the quotes serve absolutely no purpose.

how does ^ think the message would be conveyed if the quotes weren't present?

< thinks that is the answer for this scenario. No difference.

<'s internet connection keeps dropping. Dad went and made the junction-box configuration (which for months had been hanging by a thread) more robust, but < thinks the problem may be that the router is overheating. < thinks we should probably get a new one, since it's quite old.

< suspects our ISP provided modem/router combo is needing to be replaced. Due to issues with losing internet until power off/on cycle, there was a period of time where it was dropping Wifi devices, then a loooong time ago, the Wifi simply wouldn't work, at all... even after powering off for a bit of time. Then when a storm knocked out the power for a few seconds and everything came back on, the Wifi worked again. :|

Sometimes when < is watching a YouTube video with a 480p or higher resolution setting, the mobile internet device disconnects itself, and < has to take it out of the USB port and put it back in. That is the only time it happens frequently. :|

This isn't a big deal or anything, but did ^ just ignore the part where < said quotation marks are used to signify an unobvious pun or metaphor, yet take into account the part where < said that there's no pun or metaphor in your sig and that they serve no purpose because of it, and use that to justify why you put quotation marks?
