Hell, I might even get one myself. That’s just a little more than I make in a week, and I don’t even have a job...
Haruka wrote:Really? Is there any source for that? Well, I know Ireland's landscapes are quite green and pretty.
I always found the connection pretty obvious, but maybe that’s just because I grew up here. The fields, the alternating mild/rainy weather, the megaliths, the passage tombs, the Celtic imagery (spirals and so on). It just feels like Ireland.

I believe it is because you live in Ireland, I never had the opportunity to visit the country or learn more about it. I have a vague idea of the landscapes look-alike. Well, the megaliths also exist in other parts of Europe, even in Portugal. But if you say so, I believe in you.
Hmmm, I'll still want to make sure about the price. If it is that low, I think I could try to save for it and begging for a permission of buying. I just wonder how I'll find space in my computer desk, that already has got a PS2, PS3 and Wii.

See what I mean? There’s a few hundred of these things throughout the countryside.

What, are you disabled?
About the Irish connection, I think that's a very large cultural influence in a lot of works. Celtic is quite a popular style, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if Rayman was inspired by Ireland. They have been before (Rise and Shrine, many references in Rayman 2, etc).

So does Portugal.
We have stuff like this around the country:

No, I just live in a ridiculous country where people get paid to do nothing. You’d love it.
It’s not really the same; you’ve got a strange warm glow over there...

Kinda reminds me the Portuguese Social Security.

This is a misery!
It’s not really the same (...)
I know it isn't just like the one you've shown, but I couldn't find a similar example from all sudden. It is still a megalith monument anyway.

Welcome to the Portuguese weather: very sunny.

The British and Irish would love our weather.

Yes, but Ireland is actually historically famous for these things. I honestly can't comment on Portugal's history in this context, because it clearly isn't historically famous for these things.

My word, I don't see how anyone couldn't like that. How does the workforce feel about this? I mean, the ones whose 'job' isn't affiliated with some sort of bar or tavern.

British/Irish weather = Canadian weather - I would hate it. I don't like the hot sun.

The best examples are obviously in the Great Britain (Stonehenge) and Ireland, hence why they are more generically known worldwide.

As long it isn't a burning sun, I don't mind with the weather because I also don't like a burning sun either (I personally don't like to go to the beach, while Portuguese normally loves). My country is in current need of rain, though.

I think my favourite weather is when it's a slight Spring/Fall overcast. The air is plenty hydrated (which is good for physical activity), the temperature is steady, neutral and mild, there isn't much wind.

Taxpayers.

I don’t know anyone currently in the workforce, but I would imagine that they feel little to nothing. People generally don’t care about things in this country.

It is exactly how it is in the Portuguese Social Security: the people who are paying taxes (workers) are sustaining people that are doing nothing, but people that don't really do anything. The majority of the people that are benefited with this are of gipsy ethnic.
Anyway Rayfan, I would like to note that Ireland is also currently paying a debt to Troika because of things that the Irish governors did in the past. And obvious the Irish workers (mainly the medium class) is paying all the stuff. I think it gives an idea of the goverments in most European countries since in Portugal the very same thing is happening.
Trying to return on topic... Does anyone has got a better resolution of this picture?
For some reason I can't enter in Joystiq's page of images.

Sounds an awful lot like Canada. I've actually heard people who have moved here from Ireland and Switzerland point out how similar it is to their homeland.

By using taxpayer money to pay Irish civilians to do nothing? Sounds legit.

I mean, Ireland (the governors) spent public money into a level that they had to ask external help to Troika (Read below:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troika_%28triumvirate%29 ) to fix the economical problem of the country and avoid a collapse in sustainability. If you lived in Europe you would perhaps understand better this.

I probably would, and I probably will in the next decade.

You might be lucky and see Greece doing the same. They are even worse than Portugal and Ireland.

good question... Rayman Legends is more multiplayer-based. I wonder how will it work in single player, and if it will still be fun to play.

Has anybody seen the pre-order price for Rayman Legends at GameStop, it's $99.99 USD, I hope it's not the final price, but it probally won't be, thank goodness 100 dollars for a game ,shesh!
'Origins was pretty much a slap-fest, but there were a few sections where you could help each other out. Whereas Rayman Legends looks like teamwork is vital in the gameplay.
