- my ipod that has never failed me for 6 years finally kicked the bucket this morning on my way to the library. It's covered in dents and scratches from surviving being swung around by the headphone lead and smacking against walls, being dropped and even dropped in the bathtub a few times. Gonna miss having music to listen to while walking around for a while...

iFixit is a good place to see how you can take things apart and repair them. That being said, newer pieces of tech make it very difficult to take things apart for repair without permanently damaging 'em. So your mileage may vary.

+ Weekend's been fairly standard, but it's time for rest, and I can take that.

+ Finished Bloodborne, that means I finished all Souls (except Demon Souls which was kinda bad), waiting for DkS3

Being that it's a apple product, they don't really like things being fixed...

Funny story, my flatmate's ipod (same model) broke when he went from being indoors, to going outside in the rain. And they refused to replace it because "the ipod can be damaged from going to a cool area to a hot area which can cause water in the atmosphere to condense inside the device". The apple advice line and the audacity to agree that in theory, going from an air-conditioned plane, to a hot country could in theory break the device. And yet, mine survived all the elements for years haha

Evidently, you are not treating your premium designer product like the special delicate little paper model it is. /s

In all seriousness, I understand that these devices can only take so much, but the rules dictating whether or not a warranty or right for repair is void can be so tight for some devices it borders on extortionate.

+ Doctor Who series 9 finale delivered, for the most part
- There is one small thing that is bugging me
- There is also one special effect that would look awesome with the right technology, but ends up looking kinda odd.
