Sadly the artwork itself isn't included. It's only mentioned in an early localization file.

Wait, I just watched the two videos and noticed that there's a justification for considering one canon and not the other: the mini-Villi one begins with "they say", which means it's just a folk legend, while the Globox one begins with "one day", meaning it purports to be a factual account. The
world Glade finally makes sense again!

Also, I don't think the subtitles suggest Globox ate the bubeastubie on purpose, he was just too much of an eejit (or blinded by hunger / greed, or both) to realize that it was an eye he was pulling rather than a buberruby…
I wonder if "buberrubies" are related to "bongo berries".

That's unfortunate, but thanks for the reply.

Because of how these stories are presented, they look like the visuals that appear when kids gather around a wood fire at night and an adult tells them a story that may or may not be based on true events. I don't know how to express it properly, but that is what they remind me of.

I just assumed with it saying the bubeastubie wasn't giving up his eye without a fight meant that he actually tried to pull it out, but then Globox has always been known to be innocent unless he was under the influence of plum juice. There's also the fact that he ran, but the subtitles also mentioned that he greedily ate the entire bubeastubie and that he soon discovered they travelled in swarms.
Saying that, maybe the subtitles aren't clear, maybe he did eat it like an eejit and then only when it made the sound he realised what he'd actually done.

Sounds right when you say it.

Great job, Carrot! It's nice to see what this would have looked like.

Yep, that's how I see it as well.

Does anyone have a Russian version of the game handy, or at least the Russian dialogues?
Well, couldn't resist and got the
Russian Collector's Edition for PC.
It has the Russian manual, among other things. Looks like I might be updating the wiki soon.

Brilliant, this should contain some interesting material.

For starts, what do I need to do to upload a picture of the Russian collector's edition that I found on the web? I can't mark it as my own creation and Special:Upload on the Russian wiki tells me I don't have permissions.

We use the English wiki as a shared repository, so you can upload your picture there. You can then use the
Image template to add a description and source.

Thanks! It worked.
BTW, a pleasant surprise from this Russian release is that it has properly scanned, searchable PDF manuals for all languages on the disk. They are now available here:
https://archive.org/details/RaymanOrigi ... lLanguages
So far I've also uploaded the Russian manual to RayWiki; maybe other folks would like to upload other languages as well (or wait for me to get around to it).

imma look through the russian manual to see if theres anything interesting
zombie chickens are translated as something more like zombie chicks. so like More babier
teensies russian name isnt even consistent lmao theyre called малютки(malyutka singular, roughly translates to . Baby) in some places and just тинси(teensie) in globoxs description. which also has a footnote for a weird lip pun? is it even present in any other language?
darktoons description replaces the cows making milk comparison for a rabbits making babies comparison. either way they both have weird implications for jano

So myself, MilesTheCreator, and RayCarrot were messing about with Jungle Run, and they managed to figure out that by changing the gallery URL and then signing the APK, the gallery would just successfully download. That would save people needing to modify a file and manually put the gallery in the right directory.
I then tried downloading version 2.3.3 (the latest is 2.4.3), and to my surprise, it uses OBB files and just works properly. Rayman Channel even works, despite it being removed in the latest version. To make it even better, the screen is 16:9 like it should be, so the game has no rendering issues.
I guess Ubisoft should just go back to 2.3.3 because that version works out of the box.
Samsung use version 2.3.4 on the Galaxy Store, which also fails to download the gallery.

Wasn't expecting the PC version to be winning the vote. The Vita version is the indisputable champion for me. Collecting bubblized Lums with the touch screen adds a whole new layer of challenge and reflexes, the hidden relics are a neat little bonus, plus the whole game is portable which is crazy awesome.

I considered the relics an anti-feature tbh, until the above conversation took place a few weeks ago.

Speaking of those relics, I still have to get the rest of the screenshots for RayWiki. I may try do a couple of them tomorrow, it's mainly that the articles need rewording that delays it.
