That has nothing to do with this concept though. In fact, it's completely irrelevant. 200k is a permanent achievement, and then you wouldn't have to worry about having to rely on contests to keep your special rank.

You're right, although i think that 200k is a bit too much to get. I mean 150k would be good enough, even though there's just a few members who having more than that.

I think it is a ridiculously high ammount: I think if we do not count with donations or contests of the forum, a member would have to be a regular poster for 10 years or something.

In all seriousness though, DesLife and Matyuv are right about our ability to gain custom ranks should we win contests like the Teensie's Quiz and the Sig of the Month. But I also agree in that there should be some reward for being a long-time and trustworthy poster. I think we just need to settle on the price.

Well, four members have reached 200K : Canard, Hunch, Tobbe, Xenon. (I might be mistaken though). Canard steals inactive users' tings, and Xenon and Hunch are the two top posters of the forum by far, so yes they've been active posters for about 8 years. As for Tobbe, I think it's mostly donations and record day tings.
Hunch and Xenon are admins, thus they can use whatever rank they want. Canard got his own rank years ago.

So that leaves only Tobbe. Must feel good for him to see people signing stupid petitions just so that he can use a special rank.
