It's actually possible to prove that a number is irrational, with a reductio ad absurdum, by supposing that a certain patterns exists and proving it leads to an absurd consequence. And it's just an example.

Computers ran checks over the digits so far for many known patterns (since digits don't exactly have to repeat to make it a pattern of sorts).

Proof that π is irrational. Actually much more simple than I thought.

Here's some very recent news regarding paedophile priests, in addition to the Ryan Report from last May...

Any Catholics here?

I am Catholic, however I don't give pretty much attention to religion to be honest.

I think that forcing students to learn about religion at school or being influenciated on the same place is Bad Science.
People are free to choose their ways, to believe in anything they want... no pressures.

My believes are inserted in the Science, I'm those people who want to understand and to know THE TRUTH.

Now, justify your worship of this child-raping institution!

What do you mean by "worship an institution"? :?

The institution is question is the 'Catholic Church', which rapes children, you know.

What is your name for what you do to your 'Church', if not 'worship'? 'Follow', perhaps?

Follow, I guess. Anyway, it wasn't the Church that abused children, it was the corrupt priests, who joined the Church just for that purpose.

I doubt it.

Maybe the priests got corrupted because they had to live in celibacy due to the insane doctrine of your church? I find that much more plausible.

Very well: how can you justify your following of a child-raping institution? As for your other points... the Church is an organisation, comprised of individuals. These individuals are part of the organisation; therefore, you must at least agree with the statement, "Parts of the Church rape children"? Then how can you follow such a group?

And why would someone join the church and take a vow of chastity just so that they could abuse children? I think it's more likely that the sexual repression the Church imposes on its members is what makes them do the things they do, don't you?

And the Church is made of priests. Corrupt priests = corrupt Church.

Edit: Tobbe beat me to it. "It" being the second paragraph.
