3HD? :P

It wasn't quite smart either to release it at the same time as GTA.

If they manage to release it for the launch of the Switch without any delays I'm confident that it'll do quite well. Let's hope they add some new content as well, like more music stages or the dracula world to make to make it worth purchasing again for anyone who owns it already. The Ubi-art games have generally had good ports. The only bad one is the 3DS version of Origins, but that's more due to the hardware limitations.

The most hilarious thing is back in the RO era there was an official interview about the 3DS port where it was said that he was "blown away with the graphics"!

I've never seen that one before... It's hilarious how anyone can say that the 3DS version has better graphics than the other versions  The 3DS version is one of the worst Rayman ports ever, with lag, inconsistency, terrible graphics, terrible sound quality and so on. It's also way to easy in some stages since the Lum requirements were lowered WAY to much. And playing the 3DS version with the 3D is really not that spectacular and just gives me a headache.

I only purchased the 3DS port for collection. 5€ and only because it was complete in the box.

Wow, I just read the comments section for that article. Granted, it is a Nintendo related site, but blimey, some folks still aren't very happy with Ubi, are they? Mind you, it seems most of the anger is to do with leaks, so maybe I'm just getting the wrong vibe. Having timed exclusivity for BG&E2 on the Switch could be a good move, but I do wonder if it'll be enough. BG&E has amassed quite the reputation, but is it a hefty enough reputation that would be mutually benefical for Ubi and Ninty?

As for the other platforms, yeah, I do hope it does make it to PC too. UbiSoft's been making an effort to win PC Gamers, and this could be quite a push.

I don't believe that rumor yet. BG&E2 is still in pre-production, so details such as a digital-only release for PS4/XBO/PC (which no game company would ever do for a game of this scale) shouldn't be decided yet. The same person also leaked a 2017 release date for BG&E2 previously, but then that was magically changed to 2018 after Ancel said the game was still in pre-production. Even 2018 isn't believable though, since the game is supposed to have space travel, multiple cities, and so on. It's just not possible to reach that with the state the game is currently in.

As for the Rabbids game, I don't think they'd leave "Mario" out of the title. So with both of these rumors being suspicious, I don't believe the RL to Switch rumor either seeing as it's coming from the same source.

I hope Rayman Legends does come to the Switch. I would buy it immediately, even if it doesn't have anything new. Though I would love it even better if it did!

I guess time will tell, we've got just under a week now before the Switch Direct. I am feeling a tad apprehensive, but mostly hyped. Nintendo have got the momentum going, and I hope they can maintain it.

This may sound lame, but I actually had a vague dream about Rayman Legends being ported the Switch the night before this rumor surfaced. I don't have clear details but all I remembered that the Switch port got two new costumes based on Peach and Toad for Barbara and Teensy.

No point hiding it now, Brad. Now tell us, when will we see the next 3D Rayman game?

Rayman is no stranger to Nintendo consoles, and in Rayman Legends Definitive Edition, Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies are bringing their ebullient brand of platforming fun to Switch with all of the game’s traditional features, like Kung Foot, and some new surprises.
Right, so the Switch port has been confirmed, thoughts?

I wonder what makes it "definitive" - my guess is some additional minigames and challenges and things (maybe something Rayman Adventures like?), but if it's a port on the scale of what Mario Kart is looking like I wouldn't mind be opposed to purchasing the game again.

I'm pretty excited for the Switch port now that it's confirmed. I probably won't be getting a Switch anytime soon, but I'm glad they're at least bringing new features to it. It would be kind of funny if a Nintendo port of Legends was the first one to offer online multiplayer, but it seems like Nintendo are pushing more for that now so maybe that'll come?

Heh, it seems Ubi has found a new game to port to surpass Rayman 2.

In all honesty, I'm glad, Rayman Legends is a good game, and anything which keeps Rayman relevant in what seems to be a new drought, is all too good for me. A second chance is what Rayman Legends deserves, but I am concerned about it not being explicitly stated as a launch title. Last thing we need is for Ubi to drag their feet around like they did the first time.

For anyone who understands French there's a video about the Switch version here:

Hmm, not many French folk online at present, might be best to PM someone. I know Droolie translated some interviews in the past.

dutchfag can read the subtitles:

Most of it is just him talking about his excitement for the Switch and that he feels like this is sort of a "love letter" for Nintendo, he thinks Legends fits best in their library.

What he does mention about the game seems mostly in reference to the multiplayer and minigames. It sounds like there's going to be some sort addition to multiplayer pertaining specifically to the Switch and how you can play together with different consoles, comes across to me like he's implying we might see more minigames like Kung Foot. And the same reference to "surprises", so my guess is there's going to be a multiplayer based update + potentially something else or minor updates/additions.
