I will never forget when it was 50ºC. Nightmare
Now it is 21ºC where I am and it is much better.

I'm going in a week or so to that kind of heat and I love it!Haruka wrote:If you guys complain about temperatures between 25ºC and 30ºC, you should see how I try to hold on temperatures like 43ºC. A little more, and I would be in the Death Valley.

Re: How's the weather?
In Vegas, the average daytime shade temperature is 40-45ºC. After twenty minutes of walking around outside my first time there I nearly fainted and got Sun stroke for the rest of the day. Since I've been there a few times I've been able to stand it longer, but I don't even remotely enjoy doing it.Haruka wrote:If you guys complain about temperatures between 25ºC and 30ºC, you should see how I try to hold on temperatures like 43ºC. Even night time there, when it dips down to about 28º I begin to feel nauseous if I don't get to some kind of a fan before too long. The air is just so thick - not humid, just a very dry thick - it presses on you from all angles, it's unbearable.

I've managed to get a fan in my room, it's been a useful utility in helping me maintain my sanity and wellbeing.

Those things are pretty important.Master wrote:sanity and wellbeing.
I found this massive, inhumanly large 3.5-foot-diametre blade fan in an alley that I now keep in the corner of my room. It's really loud, but it works better than most AC's I've come across.

Suddenly rain but also hot.

Re: How's the weather?
For me it's still stuck around 30°C since a month already. I'm not complaining much about it, but at night I have difficulties to sleep with that heat. @@

Re: How's the weather?
It moved up to 32º yesterday. I could barely make the 6-7-minute walk from the bus stop to my studio before dizziness ensued.

It is 13º here

You don't have to. I prefer 13º over 40º any day. I hate hot weather.

Re: How's the weather?
Yeah, of course you do. Given that Emshomar's skin is darker, it's genetically coded to withstand heat better than OCG's, or mine for that matter, as I'm probably the whitest person you've ever met.emshomar wrote:I feel sorry for you

Wait, isn't the color black meant to absorb heat and white reflects heat? Or something else?Adsolution wrote:Yeah, of course you do. Even I can't sleep when it's over 30(little degree thing) generally, if you haven't already, you should get a fan in your room like Master statedClara Knight wrote:For me it's still stuck around 30°C since a month already. It doesn't work like that in humans though.Son of Dark wrote:Wait, isn't the color black meant to absorb heat and white reflects heat? Or something else?Adsolution wrote:Yeah, of course you do. Re: How's the weather?
Even though skin colour is directly and invariably tied to it, the cause behind being able to withstand the cold is the race having thrived in a cooler climate for so long that they've evolved to be naturally built for it. Skin and hair colour are, for the most part, peripheral adaptations.

Re: How's the weather?
So they're minor factors to play regarding resistance of heat then

It is 26º right now.
