xD.

At least we got a nice 3D Rayman model from that.

Didn't they end up using a 2D Rayman in the final advert? If memory serves, the 3D model was only used in a test animation, which earned Haruka a copyright strike when she reuploaded it on YouTube.

I think so, now that you mention it, I can't find the video with the 3D Rayman.

Geez, why have they forgotten how to make Rayman look good in 3D? He looks absolutely perfect in Rayman 3 and Raving Rabbids, but every attempt they've made in the UbiArt era has been embarrassing.

It's funny how Rayman 1 and 2 were practically known for their excessive ports, and now with Rayman Legends they're still doing it.

Hey guys, is there any way to start a 100% fresh new game, no cups, no lums, no anything even after beating the game a long time ago? I want to replay it from scratch but that doesn't seem possible.

If you're on PC you have to switch Uplay accounts since the challenge info is linked to your account.

But wait, isn't my copy of Rayman Legends sorta linked with my Uplay account?

Oh right, I forgot about that. Yeah, it's probably true that you can't switch accounts then. Well, in that case I don't think you can start fresh without buying the game again.

You could just move your gamesave in another folder if you mind to keep it.

I gotta say, they sure are coming up with original ideas for the "definitive edition".

And as I was expecting for months, the "Definitive Edition" talk of "preparing several surprises" is an illusion.

For those who already forgot:

https://youtu.be/Icwnf9wiMts?t=51s

The only differences is the enhanced Kung Foot (that was revealed months ago in the video above) and... surprise, surprise! An inclusion of all the exclusive skins of every console, including the UbiRay skin playable in Switch! I'm going to run to buy a Switch and a game that is virtually equal to the other 3 ports I've got already!

If it is this skin grouping that they meant about the multiplayer qualities it is pathetic. Unless they are planning to develop a DLC for the Switch version that includes many more content like a new world to play in the game I retire what I just have said. Ubisoft is obviously trying to remedy the weak sales of the game but with the final product that we have knowledge about, I can't really see people who already bought/played the game are going to spend full price again for a port with microscopic changes. Lets also note that it is now possible to get Rayman Legends around the internet or virtual shops for little to almost nothing. At the same time I now don't feel that bad for the "Definitive" edition port as the changes are almost none. Frankly, Ubisoft: move on to a 3D Rayman game because the UbiART era has ran out of steam for a good while.

It also includes both versions of the Murphy levels you know, and while I'd agree that "definitive edition" might be a bit of a stretch it does carry everything from all previous games into one (excluding the Wii Us 5 player, unless its possible in the local co op) plus the new Kung Foot mode. And it's not like they're selling the game full price again, in the U.S. its going for $40 which is the same discounted price Activision gave the N Sane Trilogy to nobodies compliant.

Well, it doesn't include the extra Murfy's Challenge levels from the Vita version. Not a big deal, but you'd think they'd do that for a "definitive edition" at least.

I don't have any qualms with them porting Legends, I think that was inevitable. Giving it the "Definitive Edition" moniker, is what doesn't sit right with me. It feels a tad bit shifty, given the additions to this version don't really seem to be that definitive.

By "Definitive Edition", we can probably guess that it's the last port of the game. Which is a good thing after all. Finally we'll maybe get a real new Rayman game.

Probably the last port for now, but this is Rayman, porting is second nature.

So, the Definitive Edition has come out: Pretty much as expected, not a shabby port, but doesn't really deserve the "Definitive" moniker, methinks.
