< Still has quite a bit going on at work, though at the same time, < has found a good source for some B&C 21" IPAL drivers that < would love to upgrade <'s system with.
Of course, by the time drivers and proper amplification are bought, < would have to spend $5,000 USD. That is using the existing subwoofer enclosures.
Ah the joys of a home theater system, especially deep into the rabbit hole, one reaches the point where improvements can cost thousands of dollars. (Not talking the fancy pantsy so called ultra 'high-end' crap that costs hundreds of thousand dollars or millions. Bleh. Not for me.)

< is also glad to see Hoodcom.
<'s power is back. Ironically <'s knowledge of climate change is making < want to get a diesel generator since these hurricanes are probably gonna hit a lot more often from now on.

< never had any sort of power outage here, just incredible forces of wind

< is actually surprised at how many brown leaves have remained on the trees. Surely they should all have been gone even before the storm?

<'s managed to get graphical tiles and sprites working on <'s Gameboy and < can move the sprite around, but collision detection will be tricky...

< is slowly preparing for a new consulting mission which < is guaranteed to fail. <'s career in engineering is most likely over.

[But why?]
Geez, you really do hate me Pirez. Why is < always being criticized!?
EDIT: Nevermind, he told me it was a joke. It was my fault for taking it the wrong way.
Here’s your answer: I’m a tech guy, deal with it!

< has almost finished programming collision into <'s Gameboy game.
< has an array of 1s and 0s corresponding to obstacles and empty squares, and for each value in the array the coordinates are found by first taking the array position modulo the width of the level (giving the x position) and then the array position divided by the width of the level rounded up (for the y position).
Now all < has to do is check for bounding box collision between the sprite's edge ordinates and each of the obstacles' coordinates and hopefully it'll work...

< is back!
Bugger it.. < missed out.
Anyways..
< thinks the weather will be a little frisky
< was overwhelmed by the strong winds this morning, since < had difficulty trying to stabilize <'s umbrella
At least the bus had arrived in time to save < from the rains and wind
The power was tempting to go out since lights kept flashing on and off..but didn't actually cause a power outage at least.

< finally got collision detection working after a few hours of racking <'s brain, < did away with bounding box collision and used a grid based system which checks if the adjacent tiles are walls or not. It's not perfect but it's certainly progress.

< went to the golf course for the first time ever. < was pleased with the results! < did much better than < expected. < even got some help from an older man who gave < some good tips.
Including how to actually grip the clubs correctly as a right-hander. < was gripping the club like a left-hander all this time.

< is making good progress in saving
