I agree. You literally can't even see what's going on at all for most of the level. That one was really annoying.

Is it really frustrating, though? Just listen to the music.

My TV has an audio delay of about 100ms which was off putting but I still managed to get past it. The other 8 bit one with Eye of the Tiger kept getting me because I couldn't see that you had to keep kicking when you're zip lining at the end so I kept dying at that same part for ages

Yeah, that one got me too. I had to go back to the regular version to see what on earth was going on on that zipline!

So at least it wasn't just me then. I had to do the exact same thing. I literally thought the game was just broken until I found that out.

It's easier for me now, but goodness during the first few playthroughs I really struggled. One of my least favorite Rayman levels.

"Orchestral Chaos 8-bit Edition" was not really bad to me and the other ones were not either.
What I really struggled with was "Mariachi Madness 8-bit Edition".

I had awful trouble with 8 bit Orchestral Chaos and 8 bit Mariachi Madness on my first playthrough. I still had much worse trouble with Infiltration Station Invaded though on my first playthrough. That one was very stressful, especially when you managed to make it far enough to see the red flag and the timer was already past 40 seconds.
The 8 bit ones seem a lot easier now though. I think what gets us is the negative thoughts like "this is impossible I'm never gonna pass this one" along with being extremely frustrated. Frustration always makes you play so much worse at a game too.

I wouldn't say I struggled with the 8-bit version of Mariachi Madness, but it wasn't the easiest one. It's easy to me now.
The 8-bit version of Castle Rock was the only one you could say was easy, maybe Gloo Gloo 8-bit too, I guess.

"Infiltration Station Invaded" was not bad for me either but I tend to mess up at the last section where you had bounce off from the large vines that were blocking the way to the goal.
The invaded version of "Quick Sand" was the level that gave me HELL.

Nah in Mariachi Madness that damn zipline kept me getting me is all. Took me about half an hour to figure out why

Yeah. That gave me a few attempts.
But it turns out when you are on the zipline, you are not supposed to kick until you are really close to the flies and when you are, mash the attack button. I think when you do that too early, you mess up somehow.

Yeah I figured that out in the end. Problem is that I actually wasn't even pressing the hit button because I didn't know the flies were even there. You can't see them in the 8 bit version

You can see them in that version of the level, you know.
It's just that the flies are really small and the 8-bit graphic filter screen is making them blend in with the pretty background. But they are a brighter colour so you can see little blotches moving on the screen in numbers.

You can see the blotches indeed, but when you haven't memorized the original level you have no idea what those blotches are!

I have no idea why but I couldn't tell that they were there from them blotches and had to replay the normal Mariachi Madness to figure out why I kept dying in the same place. When I seen the flies I was like oh

Yeah exactly

There was a problem that I have had before that.
The part where you run through a happy looking skull and shrink through the hole, there is a dijiridoo snake and a spiky snake. I kept dying at that part only because I kept helicoptering. I realized eventually that you had to keep jumping.

I fortunately didn't have a problem at that part. I think the most annoying part about the 8 bit ones is making it very far into them and dying near the end, then it makes you restart the whole thing.

There were several times where I had to make one last jump to finish one of the 8-bit levels, and I ended up dying. That level was, yep, Orchestral Chaos.

What I find funny about the music levels is that whenever you mess up, instruments made sounds as if they were thrown all over the place.
I love that! So sometimes when I die and hear them, I just laugh.
