I fucking hate Pit's voice. Brawl's English Pit voice was way better. Not good as Japanese one but still way better than this guy. Whoever picked this guy to voice pit made a horrible choice. I hope I can turn off his voice. Palutena sounds decent.

I disagree, I think Pit's Brawl voice was terrible. I believe Antony Del Rio does a much better job as Pit, he had his annoying moments (the victory song comes to mind), but I feel he made Pit a loveable character.

And as expected, Sonic Boom on the Wii U is being met with very negative reception among people who got early copies, few days from now IGN and all that jazz will have a review, but so far it's not looking good.

I disagree so much. Pit's voice is very fitting and his dialogue makes it go together so well. I don't know what your talking about.
Sonic BOOM's demo on the 3DS wasn't enjoyable for me. It felt slow and somewhat underwhelming for me.

I'll rent Rise of Lyric, but other than that, I'm not even gonna bother with the Sonic Boom games. The 3DS version was meh and Rise of Lyric just looks bad.
At least the cartoon is pretty good.

It's fucking over, the game is going to bomb, SEGA is removing playthroughs of the game of people criticizing it. It's fucking over.
So, SEGA, if you're reading this, how about giving us Yakuza 5 now or make a Shenmue III, thanks.

Sega knows the game is going to bomb, they have yet to give review copies to reviewers and they cut their expected sales in half. If it continues to look worse, it may even be 06 bad.
Dem textures.

Ehm, what?
I've just spent the last two hours watching part of a playthrough, and I actually think the game looks excellent. The art direction is gorgeous, the game itself looks very fun, and I love the writing, cutscenes and voice acting. I was immersed from the second I started watching.
Yes, some of the assets are a little low-quality (some of the tree trunks near the first free-walking segment I thought looked out of place), and there's some dirty UV mapping, but for the most part, it all comes together to make something very atmospheric and cohesive - I didn't see more than a couple small places with iffy texture work, and I'm even willing to excuse some of the asset work, as the game didn't have that big a budget - for what it had, it looks incredible, I think.
To call this game Sonic 06-grade is to disregard all the obvious passion and effort that went into making this game, which there seems to be a lot of, and to also disregard the fact that the comparison itself is retarded, because in not one single way is this this game not leagues ahead of Sonic 06.
I despise seeing people make up their ludicrously cynical minds over something based on one or two extremely biasd reviews. On the playthrough I'm watching, not a single glitch took place. Besides, glitches are the easiest possible things to fix - if they're encountered, they can be immdediately patched. Of course, if the game itself is quite broken there isn't much you can do, but I fail to see anything remotely "broken" about this game.

Nah, that game looks good! Nothing like what I'm used to from Sonic (the Sega Genesis era ), but definitely playable and it looks enjoyable too. A bit too much of the hold-you-by-the-hand style of gaming that devs seem to love nowadays. There's no figuring it out left to the players of the games. Everything that can be interacted with shows it with buttons hovering over itself and the main characters explain 100% of the time what the weaknesses are of the bosses you're fighting. Anyway, that's my nitpick for this game (or rather, the general industry's trend I guess).
That Spider-Man game on PS1 was freaking awesome!
I remember playing it.

Someone who got an early copy.
It's takes a lot to be 06 bad, and maybe Boom won't be, but if it keeps heading in this direction, I think it could possibly be that bad. As you mentioned, the writing and art direction are pretty good, but those are the only good things I've seen so far.

Sonic Boom's new title is officially Sonic '14, carrying the legacy of older brother 06
So far, Sonic Boom is rated even lower than 06 by a community. I also read comments where people called it jokingly Sonic '14 or 06-2 so I am not the only one who said that. When official reviews are out, I also don't expect much differance from 06 reviews.

Best Buy has the best Black Friday deal for the Wii U!
You get the system that includes Super Mario 3D World & Nintendo Land. But that's not all! You also get Super Smash Bros. & Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze! All for the price of $360!!! I'm so fucking glad I waited!

Sonic Boom really doesn't look bad. It looks like Epic Mickey without some of the terrible camera and platforming issues. It's glitchy, and that can take away from the experience, but it looks far from bad in terms of gameplay or art direction. The same people stabbing comedy to death with "Sonic 14!!!" probably spend three days going "XBox One?!?! XBox GONE!!!!!!" during E3.

Game Grumps are doing a playthrough of Sonic Boom right now, while I do agree the game looks awful, I'm really sick of Arin's stupid bias opinion towards all Sonic games. "They're all the same, they all suck" categorizing shit like Sonic 06 in the same vein as Sonic Adventure. Sure, Adventure hasn't aged greatly, but it's a HELL of a lot more playable and fun then 06. I'm convinced Arin just wants to jump on the popular "All 3D Sanic games suck" bandwagon. I'm honestly done liking him, I use to think he was really funny but ever since he started rubbing off his opinions on others forcefully it's became ridiculous.
I'm currently watching Projared's stream for Sanic Boom right now and he's actually very well informative and not acting blindly bias like Egoraptor, actually saying while Adventure 1 and 2 were flawed that he still thinks enjoyment could be found out of them.
