That is unfortunate. Relatives passing away seems like a normal part of becoming an adult, because the timing frequently lines up, and it does change the way you think on a small level.

I don't know if you were sarcastically referring to mine, but I didn't mean it to be apathetic, I meant it to be the opposite. As in, it's often a relatives (or multiple) pass away at this time in our lives: it's very unfortunate and can be heavy, emotionally, to the point where it shapes a part of who we are.

(Man, this forum really doesn't have any serious compassionate emoticons.)
