< will probably do some studying later this week, particularly in Algebra.

< says good man to ^. < was too lazy to study and < got away with it for years, but then < started missing lots of days when the important tests were coming up and < had to do foundation maths and Irish (low level) and they aren't worth sh*t.

If < had it again < would've put the head down and actually tried to get decent results. < still passed the tests but foundation maths wasn't a great help on the report.

It didn't stop < from knowing <'s stuff when it comes to computer hardware but on the software side of things in some cases others might blow < away with their knowledge

< says ouch ^. < hates being in that predicament

< is really concerned with ^^'s relationship with ^^'s parents.

No, < isn’t going to talk about it further.

That's understandable, but < still hopes everything gets better from here for ^'s relationship with his parents.

< also just hopes everything is OK. < hopes you feel a little better later and things get sorted

< only had 2 hours sleep and is having trouble trying to get more because < is looking forward to the post like a kid on Christmas.

< is also getting more of that toothpaste to try fix the other scratched PS2 games. < literally can't believe how well that stuff works combined with a lint free specsavers cloth. < knows it sounds like a load but it unbelievably works wonders and makes the disc look nearly new

< thinks ^ might want to pace ^self, Record Day isn't until July/August, don't burn yourself out before the big day!

< stayed up all night thinking < could get the day off school as it's a full day of PSHE. Come morning, < reads an email saying everyone has to come in or it'll be treated as skiving a normal school day...

< had the water problems last week from the snow although that's city water.

< got the yellow beast up and running (replaced the mainboard) and converted it to PAL to be able to play the games < owns.

< needs to finalize the connections on <'s retro game consoles through <'s XRGB-Mini and OSSC in <'s home theater setup.

A transformer blew out last night, causing the power to go out. It was pretty close to <'s house. An hour and a half later someone who works for the power company was able to fix it ahead of the estimated time, to turn the power back on.

< remembered when the transformer blew a fuse at <'s house. Power company came out, and put a new fuse in, but < ended up noticing oddities around the house... lights are brighter, microwave ran so much louder, and the dryer actually shut down from overheating...

Turned out the transformer was outputting 150V on both legs when < checked with <'s meter, so < called the power company to let them know and they came out to replace the whole transformer.

The electric here was supposed to be 120V/240V, not 150V/300V.

< just reminded that one day when < came home from school no water was coming from the tap so < had to wash <'s hand in drinking water with soap

Holy crap! That could've blew up flyback transformers in ^'s equipment and damaged the electronic components. Imagine how hot them PSU regulators would get with all that extra current going through them
