Wow it's been a long time since i was in Rayman-PC, anybody still playing Rayman Legends for fun or nostalgia?

I haven't played it in a while, but I tend to switch between the Rayman games quite often.

I've been trying to surpass 800k in Rayman 3 recently. I'm close to doing so, but Summit Beyond the Clouds part 3 is a nightmare. Once I pass 800k, I'm going to give the game a break and go back to the UbiArt games again. I'll probably play Legends on PC.

It's been about a year since I last replayed it. I've dabbled in the challenges over the past twelve months, but I haven't been anywhere near as dedicated as I was in 2015-6…

You can play the game online with friends now on Steam using their new service Play Together.
It streams the local multiplayer over the internet up to 4 players which is ideal for this game.

I've heard about this for both Origins and Legends, apparently people are getting good results.

one of the challenges for this week was in land of the livid dead to go as far as possible and im so happy. one of the first challenges i ever got to play (just a few months ago) was exactly that actually!! i remember grinding it for like nearly the entire week

so anyway i just remembered i wanted to ask something
ive seen a return to main gallery button in the menu in speedruns but i dont have it?? look at the pic in the bottom right you can see an empty space where it should be. is it just the switch version? or because its tabletop/handheld? because i have the game in russian?? Wtf

The Switch version removed that button. It's there in all other versions.

I actually never paid attention to it being missing on Switch.

That seems like an arbitrary change to make.

I use it quite often to quickly exit challenges etc., so I was really annoyed by it being removed. Not sure what the reason is. Then again this is the version where you end up with more lucky tickets than you can scratch, so....

So much for being Definitive then.

i see. why did they remove it then it seems so useful???? i guess we weill never know
they coulda made the last like. 14 tickets all give you lums or something

By the way, I'm not the only one that thought the Dark Creatures were related to Mini-Janos, right? While the Dark Creatures have fur and two eyes, the similarities are obvious in their body shape, behavior and environment.

Well, the Dark Creatures also look a lot like the Antitoons, which are nightmares of Polokus, besides it is implied in the Rayman Legends plot that the enemies that the player encounters are also nightmares of Polokus.

The wiki doesn't acknowledge this, but I think both the Mini-Janos and the Dark Creatures were created by the Bubble Dreamer.

Pretty sure they are just the result of Polokus' nightmares of the events in Origins. But I agree it's not very clear.

Yeah, they pretty much threw story out the window starting with Rayman Origins when the prequel plot was scrapped.

origins has something at least with the reveal but legends just. ok heres as much story as an average new super mario bros game but not really a proper ending have fun JDGLFkFH
i still love the game to death but i can and will make fun of just how little story it has

Yeah they never made anything clear in the UbiArt titles. I honestly just love them for the gameplay, artwork and music, regardless as to whether they even make sense.

Some Rayman fans like me prefer the more coherent, restrained and story-focused styles of 2 and 3, though.
