So < doesn't know what to do now that < finished R1. < might keep playing DKC Returns for now and buy DKC TF for switch on the 4th of May.

< has never played DKC Returns and so was relying on the testimony of others for that clue. But the Half-Life connection is one that < immediately saw when playing!

< still has to finish R1, though < is thinking of picking again R2R for the fun of it.

Ah then < knows where the confusion might have arisen from. < hasn't finished the game yet but < has only seen swinging vines and attacking Vine Chomp's (very rare in game but only attack the player) so far and hasn't seen anything like that. Maybe they're just further into the game so < hasn't seen them yet or else maybe those others were just "talking brown"

< knows they've been compared to Chomps. Brad once took that as an answer in the quiz, but refused the Barnacles.
