I'm on DSL, and I have a small set of cables for it. Not too bad considering it's 100 MBPS.

When you don't have problems with the gateway, or something wrong with your router.

I'm going to be getting a router soon. Not for my computer, though, for my Mother's. I still haven't hooked that up, so we don't need to worry about the router yet.

A good router, combined with a good isp, is a great combination, and it works for me

I think with the wires, it's pretty good. The only way it would go down is if there's problems with the provider.
