One definitely can't jump the balloons in LOTLD part 2 on PC though and would have to SJ. < has to test the balloon thing on PS2 again but < doesn't think < could make that either.

< just made the balloon jump on the other PC so it's true, the PC that uses Intel HD graphics has xbox like jump height. Very weird.

Actually < thinks it may just be possible but harder. < will try it on <'s PC now and try record so < has a video if < makes it

Ok. When ^ gets the chance, < would like to see it. No rush though

< definitely can't make that jump on <'s PC. < is going to find out now if it's Windows 7 or Intel HD making it possible.

It was FRACKING EPIC!

< figured the whole thing out. It's all to do with the FPS. The reason the jump was makeable is because there was FPS drops on that PC. < limited Rayman 3 to 30fps on <'s main PC and Allegro Presto < can make the jump. Seems the physics engine response time is different so Rayman falls slower.

Yep, < remembers there was a conversation about how the jump is tied to wall-clock time instead of an actual height. It's a cheat, but it's apparently quite common in the industry…

It's really weird, < wonders is that why the jump height is greater on xbox then due to FPS drops. LOTLD has FPS drops on xbox more than any other version of the game (except maybe a terrible PC)

Edit: also does that mean higher jumping when the PAL version of the game is 50Hz instead of 60Hz too < wonders.

If so maybe that's how MandM81 made that door jump on CF before breaking the door.

Something else for ^ to experiment on, it seems!

Hmm...curious, but for some reason < had a feeling this would be the case. < likes using the word too though.
