The Tower of Leptys, Stage 1?

The only bottomless pit in Rayman 3 is in the third phase of the final Reflux battle, so in The Tower of the Leptys, Stage 4 I think.

Correct, the third phase of the final boss fight is part of the fourth stage of the Tower of the Leptys. When Reflux begins floating, and Rayman must use the throttle copter to reach the Shock Rocket at the top of the floating platforms. It's possible to fall off into a bottomless pit if you're not careful, as my younger self learned the hard way.
