I'll do that tomorrow, when I've pieced everything together.

I haven't been able to rip the sprites though, because I can't find the right palette.
There's nothing new though ( nothing that isn't in the memory ), except an extra background, which I'll post tomorrow. So is it okay if I only post the new background and keep the sprites I ripped from the memory?

Of course it is, that's why it is a NEW and UNKNOWN background. XD
I just managed to find the palettes for the sprites, by the way. I'll probably post a sprite sheet soon. Not that it is any different from the one I posted before.
Oh, and I found this text in the BETA demo folder:
///RayMan 2 PlayStation/version:01.12d/date:31 mai 1996/gravure:Vincent Greco/demande:equipe RM2 Sony/destinataire:equipe RM2 Sony/usage perso/derniere version/
"Demande: Equipe RM2 Sony" probably means that the Playstation ( SONY ) RayMan 2 ( RM2 ) team ( equipe ) wanted the prototype to use it in their game.
"Destinataire" is the team who the prototype went to: the same the Playstation ( SONY ) RayMan 2 ( RM2 ) team ( equipe ).
"Gravure" means "Writing", so Vincent Greco is probably the one who wrote version 01.12d of the prototype on a CD on May 31st, 1996.
... We need to find Vincent Greco.

More info about him! He's a Development Studio Manager/Development Supervisor. He's credited in all Rayman games except Rayman 1, it seems.

...wait...I thought the developers of R2 PS1 were Japanese or something...

...anyway. I thought of something. Those images that Drolpiraat ripped: they all have names. For example, the picture of Tarayzan is called "VIG_TRZ". Obviously, the "VIG" stands for "vignette", which is French for a small picture, and the "TRZ" stands for "Tarayzan". Therefore, "VIG_TRZ" = "A small picture of Tarayzan". The picture of the ending is called "VIG_END", and "END" is obviously short for "ending", so that is "A small picture of the ending". And the picture of Joe is called "VIG_JOE", obviously short for, well, "A small picture of Joe".
But now, something interesting: the picture of Mister Dark grabbing Betilla is called "VIG_RAP"...could it be short for "rape"?

ROFL, I actually thought of that myself when I ripped the pics.

Who knows, but if it isn't that, it's still derived from the same word in Latin: "rapere" ( to kidnap ).
Hmm, maybe I'll rip some Candy Chateau backgrounds today?

No, in fact, I'm at home for a few days now, because of some strange illness I've got. XD
And I meant that the word that starts with "RAP-" in French must be derived from that word in Latin. Of course they don't use Latin in their abbreviations.
EDIT -> Aren't you surprised now? I've put together all 3 Candy Chateau backgrounds in less than an hour and a half! ^^
