Small fear of ovens, i use them but im always afraid of falling into them and get baked alive. The heat always makes me take a step back.

Fears? Sounds like an interesting thread.

I've been having the fear of cars since I was little due to an incident attempt where I almost got run over when I was 3. The car was also a Mercedes-Benz and I still have that image of the car stopping at few centimetres from me in my mind.
Stalking due to a creep following me during school period at bus stops irl and nightmares, where some man would chase me in my dreams to kill me. The latter comes from a form of childhood trauma.
People. Discovered of being a misanthropist sometime during my early high school years, feeling uneasy with people irl in general. Sometimes even on socials.

I had previously mentioned I had a fear of heights. Acrophobia is the name of this apparently. It even mentions vertigo, which is exactly what happens to me when I look down from a height. I recall nightmares from a young age many times where I was falling from miles in the air thinking I was going to die, and then I just woke up in a panic, realising everything was ok.

Hmm, I never heard of mycophobia before.

I think I have a weird fear of newborn babies, everyone find them cute and adorable but for me having them near me or feeling their smell makes me feel very uncomfortable and I wouldn't even dare to touch them as I personally find them very disgusting. :?
I think this is due to when my parents had my sister when I was 4 years old, they once told me that when I saw my sister puking it always terrified me, in fact puke is what I fear the most when I think about newborns :oops2:

That’s the main reason why I don’t want kids

Same, also because I am sure I'll be a terrible father
Then there are so many people making kids so I do not think it will be a problem

I definitely have a touch of mycophobia too. I remember someone once posted some surrealist images in one of the topics here, and one of them included giant fungi, which really freaked me out.

That, and I don’t really fancy devoting all my money to a grotty kid

For me, I’m fine with looking at images of Fungi, but I’ll be terrified in real life. I hate walking down alleys as this time of the year for that reason alone

I definitely have blatophobia. I find cockroaches disgusting and it's very common to see them on summer. Even if I prefer summer to winter, dealing with these insects is a big con

Despite living 10 minutes from the beach, my house is close to the mountains and right next to a dry river, so it is quite common to see mice, wild cats, beetles, wall geckos, cockroaches... Cockroaches are pretty nasty and if you don't get rid of them they end up making a plague.

Of course they can. They can reproduce quickly, so you must control them asap. As I said, they're nasty, and it's even worse when they have wings :beurk:

Blech I think a lot of people would have this fear. But I wouldn’t blame them, even one of them is gross. I’ve never seen a flying cockroach though, never want to encounter one. :beurk:
