I always just saw it as an insult that these annoying rabbit characters everyone hates gets to hang out with Mario and the big names, leaving their own father rayman in the dust

I did too, honestly. If the team wasn’t as passionate about Rayman as they are I might have scoffed and turned my back on this new DLC. Then I considered that maybe there was a plan to revisit Rayman all along, but Ubisoft would probably only allow them to use IP they saw as “successful” so they went with the Rabbids. Just a little theory of mine, but I know for a fact Soliani was a Rayman fan first and foremost so it makes sense to me. Glad that someone also agrees it’s a bit annoying he has to return as DLC for the very franchise that swallowed him

I agree with Mawpaw, the two series are almost entirely separate at this point, barring the first few Rabbids games and the recently announced DLC. I hope at some point the dynamic will shift all the unnecessary hatred for Rabbids towards positivity for them.

I'd get Sparks of Hope, but tbh I haven't even started Kingdom Battle yet, let alone finished it in its entirety :oop2:

From what it looks like, I think Rayman’s interactions, while annoyed, will be more positive than the ones in the original Rabbids game. There will probably be a dynamic shift. The question remains, though, what happened to the baby Globoxes?

Oops 2u as well, double posting a sentence I don’t know what happened to the babies in the og because I swear to never play that god awful trilogy of games, but I hope they make a cameo in SOH

But yeah I don’t blame you for not playing them. I only played the first because as a kid I thought maybe, just *maybe* if I beat all of the mini games then Rayman 4 would start. Ah, how sad is that?

They underwent plastic surgery and now they look like toads instead of Globoxes. So really the question should be, where did the toads in RRR go?

Either ways I hope it turns out great since I want to get this game on my birthday (which just so happens is the next day after the release of the DLC)

Globox babies were best in R2 non voiceacted

Exactly, immersion would be greatly reduced given how different the universes are. The UbiArt games, which focus almost only on gameplay and basically ignore the lore, already did this, but a crossover would take it to another level.

I agree! I've done the same (mostly to help with the wiki), and hopefully there will be more of us doing the same thing.

Yes, it's pretty nice. But I'm mostly interested in what will happen to Rayman in the DLC.

Hopefully it’s a teaser for something BIG!!!

I’m so thankful someone else thinks the exact same way as I do when it comes to the Ubiart games. The lack of story is abysmal and it just never felt like Rayman to me. I can’t believe the entirety of Legends has things like throwing Ales Mansay and his clones onto a butt-stabbing moon and guacamole coming out of Murfy’s fingers
