Thanks. My question was answered. It looks like a really easy program to use.

Currently, Stencyl is partially out as SlickSet, which I have messed around with a little, so I might be able to jump into Stencyl when it's complete. However, I am still completing Phoenixan in GameMaker... I'm most likely going to pick up on original projects in Stencyl, like my space exploration Metroidish game (untitled at the moment), and a spy game I was working on concepts for.. that'd basically be a 2D version of Goldeneye 64 or Perfect Dark.
But yeah, it is compatible with Mac and Linux as well.
Actually, if anyone is willing to take it on after the game is released and Stencyl is out, I can hand over all the sprites and resources to someone for Phoenixan's porting if I want to take on other projects instead.
So far, the only apparent downside though as been that in Stencyl or Slick, Phoenixan actually has higher requirements than it does in GameMaker 7.

I'll be happy to do so. I am really interested in that program anyways.

I'm a total noob at game maker or making games, I would have to wait after I have my computer programming class and see if I could get help.

Thanks for the comments.
By the way, to hold everyone over until I record, I decided to take a couple shots from the full game, just to give people an idea of the game's look and feel.
His bedroom, if you remember what it looked like in the demo:
And that elevator in the palace:

*I'd just like to note that how slow Phoenixan runs is just the same as Rayman 3 and RRR for GBA.
I love the new looks, I just realized how different Phoenixan looks than his last look.
So will my sprites still be used?

Like the total amount of resources in the game, or just for Phoenixan? Because Phoenixan actually has more sprites than any other character in the game. He and the pirates have left and right sprites while everyone else is simply rotated using the image_xscale variable.

Oh sorry.. I mis-read your post.. XD I thought you said how many sprites instead of will yours be used. Yes, they will.

That's really cool how you will include your friend's work into it.

Well, anyone's free to help out with further sprites, but I can't really think of much that other's can help with... I could possibly use a redo of the bats in the caverns too, and some kind of creature to go with the snowy mountains.

I would help if I knew how to make sprites.

I could help with the redo.
I would need to update my pallete though. I want it to look like you made it except it's K12 styled work.

Well, I can easily have GIMP convert the palette over now. It's what I've been doing since the new look of the game. So, don't worry too much about it.

Just do whatever you want, but keep within the game's style (I'm going for a Rayman 2ish look).
Anyways, I have some surprising news.
http://glog.yoyogames.com/?p=15
A Mac version of GM7 has been announced. No release date as of yet, but this means that for certain, there will be a Mac version. No Stencyl port. Just straight port of GM7 Mac. The only DLL system I use is for BASS.DLL, the music system, so if there is a replacement music system after the release (and I'm certain there will be), it should be able to be ported over just fine without a single major change in code.

Phenixian: is it possible to download the original game but not the demo?
