Why are people worrying about this game being a Wii U exclusive? Rayman is one of the most multi-platform characters I can think of, and I doubt he's had a game exclusive to one system, so why would Rayman Legends be an exception?

At that time I still thought Rayman was totally forgotten, I started following RO in 2011 when it was already being developed to be a full game

Oh this is relieving news. I had pretty much given up on buying Legends.

Exactly; where the fuck did everyone get the idea of it being an exclusive? It was never stated anywhere, all of you just made that up out of thin air, probably because Murfy was a feature in the Wii U version. In order to have Murfy work you would need to have more than one player. Therefore, because there's no chance they would only make the game multiplayer only, because that would be one of the stupidest decisions they could make, Murfy would not be required to play. Makes sense?

It wasn't so much that Murfy was using a pad, but rather that the end of the gameplay trailer showed no more than a Wii-U icon that gave us this conclusion. But whatever. I'm glad we may still get to play it in the end.

Well, we could have expected it. Like Michel said, E3 was mainly Wii-U-orientated, so it was bound to just focus on that one console and bring out its most prominent features, and leave the other consoles for later marketing schemes.

Also, where did I hear that they were making a new Xbox...?

If you see, Murphy appears to be mandatory in the levels... However, I'm pretty sure that those levels were designed this way just to show Murphy's capabilities during the e3. I wouldn't be surprised if "Teensies in Trouble" had some changes later.

I suspect they might have some multiplayer-only levels, sort of like the Tricky Treasures, but not mandatory for anything except getting 100%. That would make sense to me, plus it would be fair, and loads of fun.

Another possibility is that Rayman is able to do the same things that murphy does. If you're playing alone, you're supposed be the one playing with the gamepad, right? that means you can use the touchscreen to cut ropes and the gyroscope to turn some platforms. It could be pretty annoying for only one player who is also supposed to take control of rayman at the same time, but it's the only way it could work. Then in multiplayer, murphy would be there just to ease this annoying task, and let the "Earth players" do their job while he manipulates the landscape for them. Then of course, to compensate the boring role of being the "Orange Luma from Super Mario Galaxy 2", Murphy would take a more rhythmical and active role in the musical levels.

I can see how such hectic gameplay, playing as a solo-Murfy, could be great fun. You'd have to have lightning-quick reflexes to cut all ropes and then jump to them in time and mash up all dragons that come into your path before walking on.
However, I think that in a single player mode, these events would occur anyway, whether they were caused by Murfy or just by the in-game engine taking care of the levels for you.

And could you be nicer to others? Maybe English is not her first language.

Maybe in the PC version of Rayman Legends Murfy will be controlled by the mouse. That would work.
