I never understood when or why the jump Robotnik->Eggman came. It's true that the villain in the flying platform-doohickeys at the end of Sonic's levels back on the Genesis system resembled Eggman a lot more than he did Robotnik, but he was supposed to be Robotnik. I don't know - something about Robotnik just seems a lot cooler than 'Eggman'. It's probably E's ridiculous name. Also, you can't best the PINGAS guy. You just can't top that.
Is Eggman supposed to be the retconned Robotnik, or is he an actually different person? Because his affiliations/creations seem to be directly taken over from Robotnik's work and he seems to be the same main enemy as Robotnik always was.

The Robotnik of the classic games (ie. Sonic 1,2,3, Knuckles etc.) is Doctor Eggman, in Japan he's always been known as Eggman, the Robotnik name was a change made during localisation.
However, since then, they've retconned it so that his name is Dr. Ivo Robotnik, but everyone just calls him by his nickname, Eggman.

Ahh... it makes sense that 'Eggman' would be something that was tauntingly thrown in his face, even if that's a cover-up of the localisation mismatch.
Was this voice actor also the one you mentioned earlier? You're right - I like the way he talks.

Ah, no, that was Dean Bristow, the VA preceding Mike Pollock.
This is Mike Pollock:
I know it doesn't sound quite as intimidating, but Pollock's voice seems to perfectly convey the more cartoony aspects of the character, while still having him sound reasonably threatening and maniacal.

No, you're right - he sounds to fit the role too.

Wow... not sure where to begin with this trailer... it still seems a bit shady to me, the gameplay it's self looks WAY TOO similar to Mario Galaxy, and the cancelled Sonic Xtreme for the Saturn. The level shown off which is Green hill zone, actually looks VERY nice, so I actually DO have hopes for this, and I hope it utilizes the gamepad well. It looks like it would cause some motion sickness undoubtedly, but hopefully the game will be good. I don't really admire the fact the speed has been drasticly slown down, but nonetheless still looks fun.
The guy behind that parody account should be given a medal.

I find "reenactments of Tommy Wiseau movies" to be a better description.

Wow, what a story, rather frightening seeing that the parents of the baby are completely unknown- it makes me wonder if stuff like this often happens over there in China- hopefully now, how tragic.
(also 5000'th post, aw yeah) :p

I'm just imagining if the baby becomes famous, then owns his own Wikipedia article...
Early Life
Ricky-Jim Billy McJohnson was discovered by a working-class family in a sewer pipe, and police had to rush him to a hospital, as even the fire team were not able to cut him out. The surgeons were able to successfully remove McJohnson from the pipe, and he has sustained no permanent damage. The whereabouts of Ricky-Jim's parents are not currently known.
McJohnson's words on the matter:
It was scary being in the pipe. It was claustrophobic, and I felt like my fat Jewish nose would be crumpled any second... not that I can remember any of that, since I was only zero at the time. Oddly enough, bitches love my story, as it shows that I apparently have good experience being inside tight, slimy tunnels.
