And about the 'hive mind' thing, I'd say it is because of a vastly shared culture, (at least for the 20 or above generation) just watch Pirez's video titled 'les tontombent du ciel' and you probably think 'the fuck?'

Ooh, PSP hacking. That takes me back. Back when we did it, we had to use the Pandora Battery exploit. I remember borrowing someone's PSP battery that they had opened and cut the pin on the chip to install CFW.

I think I got particularly lucky, the model I have can make Pandora batteries via the CFW, no need to open them up.

It's much easier now, just drag and drop a file on to the PSP and run it. It's permanent too, no need to use workarounds to keep the firmware in place.
