In all honestly, at least it was something, and besides, were we really expecting it to look so much different from X and Y? I don't think so.

Indeed, remakes do tend to share similarities with the main games of their Gen.
Still, having stayed up for barely a minutes worth of footage was foolish of me, even with the element of uncertainty, surely it'd have been better for me to have slept and found out in the morning.
Hmm, still, the glimpse was intriguing, I'll muse over it while I rest, night everyone!

I don't think "the graphics look like X & Y" is what has people bummed out. This stream was supposed to have gameplay (which would hint that we would see a bit of the world and maybe a bit of the battles, as well as a new Mega Evolution or gameplay feature), but it just had a bit of a cutscene, and that was it. If they had said "we'll have a teaser trailer in the stream", people wouldn't have been bummed out.
In all honesty, this teaser should have been the initial reveal trailer.

I'm guessing that the footage is a beta cutscene for the respective mascot uprising. Can't say I was disappointed in the slightest about this really, considering I was expecting something but no exact something.

I don't expect to see gameplay that fast after the announcement really.

They've uploaded that little tease to the Pokemon channel:

Seeing those two do those moves was pretty cool though.

If I knew it was going to be like that I would have gone to the bed to the hours I actually wanted. Oh well.

It's nice how they've come out with a game so soon after X & Y. But then again all they are doing is remaking it, it's not like they're having to start exactly from scratch. This is gonna be exciting. The graphics are starting to look like the Anime!

Corocoro scans came out and essentially said the same thing in that teaser and the tv show. Maybe we'll get something more next week? The show certainly seemed to imply such at the end.

I look forward to fighting Team Magma again. They were badass. ALMOST as cool as Team Rocket. Almost.

Magma were certainly cool, as well as the most logical team (More water in Hoenn? Who would ever want that). Also their hoodies :
I would love one of those.
That being said though I prefer Archie over Maxie. Maxie looks as though he needs some more mass on himself.

Hah, I'm glad you like the Magma's as well. Team Aqua is pretty cool just because they're like pirates. Yeah Maxie was kinda weird, but still. From what I remember Emerald wise, Team Magma was the main 'villains'?
It's been a while!

In Emerald it was both teams that were equally villainous, both of them summoning the mascot legendaries and caused utter havoc, with only a 10 y o and a cape-ed man doing something to stop them.
I've said it before here but I still would like to see both teams get the spotlight in both titles. I found it pretty piss poor that the gen introduced two teams but only one was active depending on the title (except for Emerald of course).

Ah thanks. I watched an Emerald playthrough about a year ago. Maybe even longer; yikes. I had Ruby version as a kid, and yeah you only saw Aqua on occasions. Well these new remakes should be equal? A bit like X & Y but just with different exclusives?

I would assume the main elements of Ruby/Sapphire's storyline are intact; in other words Ruby still goes after Groudon in the end while Sapphire is the same for Kyogre. The difference i'm hoping for is that both teams are still active however the climax focuses on one legendary (For example, both legendaries fight it of and Rayquazza comes in, however the mascot of one game still goes into a rampage and makes home in the Cave of Origin where the trainer needs to fight/capture it).

Meh, one thing you've got to be careful about these days, is fakes, considering the large amount of dislike the guy has, could just be someone trying to trigger hostilities by fabrication.
Either ways, this sort of thing is attention seeking anyways, why derail this thread to becoming a pit of hate? We've got better things we can look forward to and give our time to.

Aye we all know Beiber is shit so there's no reason to keep going on about it since all he's doing is digging his own grave.
Let's talk about locations we're excited to see in this new game. Like Sootopolis, and Fortree, heck Evergrande as well.
