Well as memory serves, there are four. One is where you collect as much lums as possible without dying. Second is where you survive as long as possible, measured by distance. Another one is like some time attack where you have to go to a certain place based on time it takes. I think there is a fourth where you try to collect a certain amount of lums measured by time. The theme worlds are Toad Story (Never ending pit, all challenges), The Dungeon (all challenges), The Infinite Tower (all challenges), Land of the Livid Dead (all challenges), The Dojo (lums and time attack).

That's sadly enough not correct if I understand correctly what you wrote. None of the different level themes can have all different challenge types and there are more than 4 different types as well.

If nobody answers today I guess I'll do a new question then. So last day to answer this question. If anything's unclear about the question itself, just ask.

Hmm, I'll give it a shot. There are five Challenge Locales:
- Murfy's Dungeon
- The Land of the Livid Dead
- The Dojo
- The Neverending Pit
- The Infinite Tower
Within these locales, there are the following challenges:
- Collecting a set amount of lums as fast as possible (can happen in all locales)
- Collecting as many lums as possible without dying (Dojo)
- Collecting as many lums as possible within a time limit (I believe this happens in all locales too)
- Reaching a certain distance as fast a possible (All locales except the Dojo)
- Reaching as far a distance as possible without dying (All locales except the Dojo)

Number 1 can not happen in all challenge themes, 2 is correct, 3 can't happen in all themes either, 4 and 5 are both correct.
Also, to clarify I'm not counting the challenges in the Vita and Wii U versions as they have some differences (at least the Vita version).

In most of the games they appear in the "Yellow lums" are a collectable but In the DS version of Rayman Raving Rabbids they are used as ammunition for Rayman's Magic fist.
