By "xenophilous" I intended to mean "loving of foreign things", as opposed to "xenophobic". I went with "-ous" instead of "-ic" because somehow the latter version made me think more of enjoying sex with foreigners. But that probably wasn't justified. :lol:

My parents started using "flogging" and "flegging" as opposed to the more usual terms around me, so they wouldn't be hypocritical when they said not to swear. It stuck. But I have a friend in college who says "flogging" as well.
