Isn't there now an Origin of the Planet of the Apes?

Rise of the Planet of the Apes will apparently be some sort of remake of Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. Or maybe it’ll be a prequel detailing the original timeline before those two apes got sent back in time in Escape from the Planet of the Apes because the earth got blown up in Beneath the Planet of the Apes. This series is so ridiculous.

I've watched Red Dragon and Hannibal Rising. As expected, the latter was quite different and not as good as the others, but it was still entertaining (except from that ridiculous samurai training and stuff). Red Dragon on the other hand was brilliant. I've also previously watched Meet Joe Black (my friend's a Hopkins fangirl) and A Perfect World, both were great too.

Just came back from the last part of Harry Potter. Pretty good I must say, now I don't have to put up with watching any more!

Have you seen
Hannibal? I thought it was rather unfairly criticised for its over-the-top violence, which didn’t bother me at all. The film was stylishly made, the soundtrack was excellent and the cast was great (Julianne Moore was good enough to make the recasting of Clarice tolerable). I suppose the writers could have done a little better – why not bring back Edward Norton’s character from
Red Dragon instead of adding that random Italian guy? – but overall I found it an appropriate continuation of
The Silence of the Lambs.
The one film in the series that I didn’t like was
Hannibal Rising, which was a colossal cheese-fest. There were several moments when I literally laughed out loud at how ridiculous it was. Some of my favourite moments: the line ‘Little boy Hannibal died in 1944, out in that snow. His heart died with Mischa. What he is now, there’s no word for it. Except ‘monster’’, and of course the moment where he puts on the samurai mask that looks suspiciously like the muzzle he wore in the other films and the lighting and music go all dramatic and foreshadowy.
I actually prefer not to accept it as an instalment in the series; the huge gulf in quality between it and the others and the lack of any shared actors (especially Anthony Hopkins; the new guy can’t act and doesn’t look even remotely like him) make it remarkably easy to separate
Hannibal Rising from the three good ones. I view it as a failed reboot rather than a prequel; in the same way, if
Batman Begins had sucked, it wouldn’t have been a stain on the good Tim Burton films, as it’s not truly part of the same continuity.

I still have to watch the 6th and 7th Part 1 before watching the very last one.

I recently rewatched all of Danish Olsen Gang movies, and the last one feels so cheap I fell like Spiral about his Hannibal movie.

WTF? The movie would make no sense then.

Still, is that bad? Oh well, it is, Harry Potter movies aren't especially joke-filled.
