< says just knock the robots off the edge ^^.
< has been trying all sorts of things in Linux and tested Portal since it's a native game. It seemed laggy, but after a fresh install it runs smoothly, however proton games like GTA don't work. < bets that when < updates the mesa version, the lagging will return in Portal along with everything else.
Also wow, at least others were the same
< guesses everyone just gets overwhelmed when they're surrounded by Rayman fans

< was into Linux gaming before
it was trendy Portal was native:

Portal seems to run properly now so maybe it's wine related whatever problem < is having. < isn't dead set on a distro yet and is just using mint to test stuff. < just wants to try familiarise <'s self with Linux for now.
< just wants to try get the games running for the sake of it though most games run much better on Windows.
OpenGL stuff such as the cemu emulator run much better on Mesa drivers than on AMDGPU drivers or Windows.
It seems the problem with lagging must be wine related somehow then.

< thinks it's stupid the way Nintendo have it, that if you have your account on a Wii U but want to put it on another one instead, you're simply just not allowed.
Deleting the account does nothing and it remains tied to the other system, the only way to do it is to transfer all of the data from one system to the other meaning that would also transfer <'s brothers account. Instead < has to contact Nintendo and get them to make the transfer by verifying <'s accounts and serial number etc.
That's a pretty stupid system Nintendo have set up if you ask <.

< doesn't think Nintendo have ever been good with online systems and accounts, they always seem to do things their own way. They finally took some inspiration from their competitors with the Switch, but of course it had to be the worst aspect of online play; making Nintendo Switch Online a paid service (when it really doesn't need to be).
<'s noticed that if <'s been listening to music and then stops for a few hours, if < starts whistling or humming a tune < always subconsciously chooses the last thing < was listening to even if < can't consciously remember what it was.
<'s noticed this a number of times over the years but an example today was when < was listening to something without really paying attention, turned it off to listen to a 2 hour lecture and then started whistling when < left. < switched <'s music back on and it was the exact same song, even though < had been listening to a whole playlist of short songs before that.
<'s guessing when you stop a piece of music that you're familiar with half way it get's subconsciously stuck in your head until you finish listening to it. <'s had it happen even after not listening to music for 3 or 4 hours, < always starts whistling the last song < was listening to.

Yeah they just do everything as awkwardly as they possibly can. It's just making more work for them as people will have to contact them to do something simple. Xbox and PlayStation allows people to have their accounts on multiple consoles, but Nintendo just like being as awkward as possible.
< has to wait for their customer services to email < then < can finally set up <'s Wii U and play it. There are a few games on the console and some that never made it to switch that < wants to play. < just wanted to get a Wii U to have since it's literally the only console < didn't own that was released since NES that < can think of

< really misses the time where this forum was more active... < doesn't know why the forum is currently pretty much silent and < really wishes more people would respond to some game threads or something because yeah, while this is a game thread, it's not as much of one compared to like "The Rabbids didn't notice because... (game)" or the "Guilty or Innocent Game" threads for example. This is more of a conversation thread than a game thread because all you have to do is change the "I" or for example [the member above <]'s name to ^.

Yeah, < gets why no one would prioritise a forum, and < wasn't saying people need to post like crazy or anything like that, all < was saying is that < wishes other people would come to this place and bring a bit more activity to this forum (not posting like crazy, but a bit more and moderately)

< just had that exact subconscious musical effect < described earlier, but this time it was over 7 hours ago < last listened to anything! < was about to put some music on and before < did, < started humming the first thing that came to <'s head. Lo and behold it was the song < had last listened to and paused half way.
It's actually kind of freaky...
