< remembers coming across the word "deadly" on a website about Rayman Designer, referring to evil plants. < wasn't sure which meaning was intended, since < found it hard to believe that those plants would be available in non-Rayman-Junior games. < later learned it was copy-pasted from the official manual, which definitely wouldn't use the slang sense. :P (And definitely wouldn't use an Irish/Dublin slang above all, though < didn't really know how regional it was back then.)

< thinks it would be "deadly" if they did use the slang. :P

< finds it amazing though, as small as Ireland is, different counties still have different "slang". It's just our thing. :)

Speaking of Ireland, < couldn't help but think about the Easter Rising just moments ago, and the whole Michael Collins thing. < was never good at history, but < is genuinely interested in Irish history, so < remembers a lot about it. < remembers the name Éamon de Valera very well too and < just decided to start reading facts about it all.

< usually couldn't pay attention in history class, but that's one thing that < paid a lot of attention to and learned a lot about. < even remembers they let us watch Michael Collins on VHS. We were in fifth class and < was only 11.

< remembers watching Michael Collins on DVD, in third year (i.e. Junior Cert year). < also borrowed "Big Fellow, Long Fellow" from the library about the same time, in which < remembers being struck by the line (referring to Austin Stack), '"Yes," replied the Kerryman' – Kerrymen are never supposed to give straight answers! :fou: < was also amused by the following lines, in which it was recounted that Mick told him "Your department is a bloody joke!"

< wonders if ^ saw the "Election '18" special last night, where they put on a panel discussion like the ones they have at elections now, but all about the election 100 years ago. It was really well done, with the pundits talking about how Sinn Féin had turned the electoral landscape upside-down, and how partition was starting to look really likely. It was quite eerily familiar, with all the talk of strong electoral mandates that nevertheless were unachievable.

< didn't actually see it, though < decided to read about it though since ^ mentioned it and it seems very interesting. < sees that they wanted to let people see how it would feel to vote in 1918. < would liked to have seen it and maybe it will turn up somewhere or be aired again at some stage.

< has no problem learning more about Irish history since < is genuinely interested in it. < just thinks it's because it's about <'s home country, whereas < always seemed to have a kind of "who cares, that happened years ago" attitude to it. < isn't even sure whether that's the case exactly, but < certainly couldn't pay very much attention to the other subjects in history. It seemed to be in one ear, out the other. :P

EDIT: Actually, surely it would be on RTÉ Player or something.

< would think that the slang "deadly" would have the same effect as the slang "sick". Even though they both refer to an extraordinary thing, they share that same taste in word choice. It shouldn't be something too unusual if you think about it.

Oh yeah, < didn't think of the word sick actually, that seems to be used all around the world and it basically does mean the same thing in that context. < would basically use it to say something is "unreal" or "out of this world". So yeah, "that's sick" is basically the same thing with a different slang word.

< has played the Dreamcast version of Rayman 2 a few times now and < has just made it as far as Top Of The World before suddenly thinking, why doesn't < just play the PC version for a change to see if there are any differences (aside from the obvious ones like Isle Of Doors/Hall Of Doors).

The only thing is that < likes to use a controller in these game while the PC version doesn't really have a great key mapping solution. Nevertheless, < should give it a go.

Edit: So < has 2 issues, the first one is that the A and B buttons are switched around, with no way to remap them and the second is that the only thing that works on Windows 10 is nGlide, which as < has already stated before, runs too fast on <'s computer. Back to Windows 7 and the Uplay method it is then.

< is giving up on saving money now. < was making good progress months ago but now < has ended up where < had started. < isn't even saving anymore because < will just lose them since < is living in a family household and <'s parents are sometimes dependant in terms of financial issues. < still collects money from the ground but < doesn't see what's the point in keeping it for something that < wants to purchase in the future. :tssk:

Anyway..whatever. < doesn't care anymore. < is done with saving.

< had a good day today nonetheless! :D

< somehow didn't wake up when 2 different couriers knocked at the door, not even with the dogs barking at them. That's a first anyway as usually even the slightest sound would wake < up. Shows how tired < was. :P

If only we could clean Windows 10, though uninstalling it is good enough. :P

< didn't actually realise how quickly Christmas was approaching and now < is kind of left wondering if < needs anything else. With it being on a Tuesday, that leaves less time to have stuff delivered with Monday being a bank holiday and a weekend coming up if < does need anything. < should've done this all earlier. :oops2:

< has finally finished to upload a video for <'s football club. 115 gigs wiped off my hard drive in a heartbeat

Now < can finish the work on <'s next videos for the general public : a review of Megaman 11 and a cautionary tale on Kingdom Hearts 3

< is awaiting the snowfall feature that RPC has. At least there is something to look at that cheers < up When < is feeling down or depressed.
