Re: The You Game!
< believes with emulators like dolphin it's typically the CPU taking the load, since theyre emulating another console and they're not optimised enough to take proper advantage of the GPU
Re: The You Game!
< was thinking about the HD textures, though he's likely not using them anyway. <'s CPU can handle any of that no problem, so < wasn't sure exactly where the bottleneck would be either.
< has been busy doing all sorts for the last few days such as getting new furniture and the LG B8 OLED TV. < hasn't had much time to sit and relax for the past week and < apologises for the recent delay in TTQ. < will be finishing the season, but < literally hasn't had time to sit down, along with <'s computers not even being set up properly.
< is absolutely over the moon with the OLED TV though.

At least < has the new Smash Bros. to play with <'s uni mates

Re: The You Game!
< still hasn't even played it yet oddly enough even though < has it. < has literally been running around doing everything for days and < is still a little stressed as < hasn't even finished everything and wanted a break. < still has to make some sort of shelving unit for <'s games and < plans to do so by using the wood from the old wardrobe.

< is not dead yet.
Re: The You Game!
< says ‘howdy’ to Ray502.
Re: The You Game!
< says hi to ^^ and is glad to know that ^^ is alive.
< has been playing Forza Horizon 4 on Xbox One X on <'s new TV to try out proper 4K HDR. < has still been playing Rayman Origins on it too though and even Rayman 2 on Dreamcast.
EDIT: Black frame insertion actually makes retro games look really good and gives them a very CRT like feeling.

Ouch, just thinking about it makes my brain hurt!Steo wrote: Fri Jan 18, 2019 9:05 pm Black frame insertion actually makes retro games look really good and gives them a very CRT like feeling.
< can’t stand flicker. Also, < suffers from photosensitive epilepsy.
Re: The You Game!
There's that unfortunately, some people are sensitive to flicker. < is OK with it for the most part, though there's a limit to how much of it < can stand. Strobe lighting for example would probably have < turning away.
It's not like BFI is even needed, but if it's used, there's practically no motion blur at all. It's not really noticeable that it's flickering, it just looks like an image with slightly lower brightness, though it's slightly noticeable on brighter colours since the technology has only recently been introduced to OLED.

Re: The You Game!
< says hello to R4Y and Ray!
^'s sig is reminding < of Mario Party DS. < hasn't played that in quite awhile.
<'s dad's birthday is tomorrow, so < is thinking whether < should make a cake for him or not. Either way, tomorrow's going to be nice. It also was not terribly freezing this weekend like predicted, though there's still tomorrow so < will see...

< says hello to ^. < did take the images from that game since < played that a lot back then.
< will make small visits like this when < has time but < can't guarantee that this will happen for the rest of the month.

Re: The You Game!
< says that's understandable. RPC will always be around when ^ comes by. < is glad that ^ and Ray are still alive.
< has been playing and grinding in Pokemon Colosseum for days now trying to get further with the story, and getting all the Shadow Pokemon and purifying them. < likes customizing the Pokemon < gets in that game with moves that can be advantageous against Pokemon with a type advantage, but then again that's how < likes strategizing that way in Pokemon games in general.

Re: The You Game!
At least ^ didn't kill anyone.
< has been playing drift a drift event for hours in Forza Horizon and < would be lying if < said it wasn't extremely annoying trying to actually pass it.

Re: The You Game!
< went to see Macbeth yesterday. It was an interesting production, with pole-dancing witches and female Fleance.
Re: The You Game!
< is going to try and improve <'s score in The Land of the Livid Dead today. < will give out an update as to what score < got (if < improved it) in the Rayman 3 scores thread.

< says that’s great! < wishes ^ the best of luck!

For some reason ^ just reminded < of this quote ^ made. < really was crazy back then.
Haha that’s true.

Re: The You Game!
Well, thanks, but the thing is, I've practiced that level a lot already, but I've noticed a pattern when I try to improve my score there:The Jonster wrote: Sun Jan 20, 2019 3:43 pm < says that’s great! < wishes ^ the best of luck!

At first, it's always like "< can do this!" and < thinks <'s improving (which < is btw) and then, at the end, < always screws it all up! <'s done with that level! Not because it's bad or frustrating or anything, in fact it's really good and < loves it, what < means is that in terms of scores, < is done. < knows that < won't be able to improve <'s score further on that level, and <'s gonna accept that now. From now on, < will move to different levels and see how well < can do on them and maybe improve <'s score too, because < just can't seem to do it.
