I like it, knowing I'll be wrong on my guess if I see it first.
(jk I don't mind whether I win or lose, it's for the fun of it

Alright then, lemme just remind everyone else who's viewing this thread that the next few questions are to be answered by Steo and Plum only. This will be a best out of 3 round, so let's get busy!
Tiebreaker 1: This major character to the Rayman series first debuted in Rayman 2.

If major means recurring then I'm going to guess Polokus (aka Bubble Dreamer).

Yeah I should have just said recurring, my bad.

Ly? She's got purple hair, does that count as purple?

I got confused with recurring but I guess there's the cameos and the statue in Rayman 3 etc.
EDIT: Actually yeah, that's just purple hair.

Ly is indeed who I was thinking of!
She makes appearances in the GBA versions of Rayman 3 and Rayman Raving Rabbids as well as Rayman 2. And yeah there's also the statue in Rayman 3.
Edit: Oh I see what you meant
Tiebreaker Round:
PluMGMK - 1 point
Tiebreaker 2: This Rayman 3 level introduces the player to a laser-washing power similar to the super helicopter.

That's right! Time for the final question:

Steo - 1 point
Tiebreaker 3: Rayman can use this power in all mainstream games.

I assume the power to hang on ledges then, considering he doesn't use his fists in Rayman 2 and shoots from them instead.

Not right either. Since you've both answered, I'll go ahead and give another clue.
Tiebreaker 3: Rayman can use this power in all mainstream games.
Tiebreaker 3a: This power is used automatically in a couple mobile Rayman games.

Sprinting/running then? I didn't think he ran so fast in the 3D titles so that threw me off.
