I looked at the wikipedia list (I didn't know any people that are strictly philosophers) and I had a good laugh.
I can see why Pirez would be offended at that answer. I was going to refrain from answering this one anyway.

While his actual entry suggests that his poetry was more of a stepping stone to the work of Souleymane Bachir Diagne, he is listed as an african philosopher, which is good enough for me, whose thought process rarely crosses level 0 of sentience.

It's a modern philosopher that likes to smoke ciggies and his name sounds like a typical Canadian deer-like animal.
