I was trying to spare him from his inevitable failure. There was no polite way to do this. The way I did it could have been much worse, in fact.

You don't know him well enough to make such assumptions.

Sure I do. One does not need to know another well to be able to assume such things.PluMGMK wrote:You don't know him well enough to make such assumptions.
I wonder why you edited that in.PluMGMK wrote:Speaking of assumptions...

Get educated.Rayman9930 wrote:No, Look I know this supposed to be said in the religion thread, but if Jesus the Son was to come back and pick us all up in 2012, there would have bee an Anti-Christ that was supposed to rise up in 2005 along with the False Prophet. He would have been ten times worse that ten Hitlers. Has he risen up? No, at least not yet. People will come up and try to trick you when the world will end. Don't believe that stupid Aztec calenders! The Anti-Christ would have seven years to rise the before Apocalypse and a lot of things like the sun, the oceans, the rivers/lakes, and 4 other things will be turned to blood.
Then the Final Battle between good and evil takes place. Then the Lord will rule for another 1000 years, then for forever.
I know you asked a simple question Stacey, but humans try to make up stuff to fool other people. I just gave you an answer, with evidence that is from the bible.
The Bible cannot be used as a reliable historcal or scientific source, and neither can it be used to predict what is going to happen in the future. Basically, if you try to back up your arguments with scripture you're gonna get laughed at by anyone who isn't a fundamentalist Christian like yourself.
But now, let's sing:

You know in some countries, they will have you kill if they even think you have anything to do with Christianity.
Re: Religion - your views
Yes, Saudi Arabia for instance. But wtf has that got to do with anything I just said?

Re: Religion - your views
Well, I have to agree to you on that. I got laughed at school for that today. But I don't take things personally.
Re: Religion - your views
More importantly here is the reason you get laughed at for taking the Bible seriously. It's because The Bible is NOT a reliable source for anything. So the Bible can be used to prove absolutely fuck all historically, scientifically or morally.

Re: Religion - your views
Oh what? So some people would rather let people believe the Earth is 4.6 billion years of age?
Re: Religion - your views
Yes, they're called sane people. Do you have any idea why the vast majority of educated people, including every single geologist, believe this? It's because that actually is the age of the Earth. The fact that its age is approximately 4.54 billion years is backed up by a vast amount of evidences that all point back to the same number. This is simply a fact of science, get over it.

One day, everyone will be proved wrong about lots of things. But until then I got to
But that doesn't mean I love science though.Tobbe wrote:...get over it.

With the mountain of mutually supporting evidence that exists for theories like the Big Bang, Abiogenesis and Evolution (I presume this is what you're talking about), I'd say that it is so extremely unlikely that any of them should be overturned, that it's virtually impossible. However, if this was to happen, by some miracle, the ones of us who are reasonable will adjust our views to any new evidence, because that is what science is all about. We go, with open minds and without prejudice, where the evidence leads us, wherever that may be. The views of religious fundamentalists are stationary, are not based on evidence and will not change according to evidence. The fact that there are so many of you out there makes me lose my faith in human progress, tbh.Rayman9930 wrote:One day, everyone will be proved wrong about lots of things.
Re: Religion - your views
There is a phrase that say "God forgives for who offends". Now try to pray like Christianity people do, in an Arabian country and prepare to get killed.
By the way, here's an interesting video of Obama, about these stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IHQr4Cdx88

“What's the difference between a Chistian and an atheist?”
“An atheist will become a Christian if you show him proof that God exists.”
More 'sadly true' than 'funny' though.
