< can say for a fact that < definitely would suck at online gaming.

On as serious note though, < hopes R4Y will be alright. Depression sucks.

< says we will be here to listen, R4Y if you want to talk about things. :)

< got <‘s laptop back yesterday and started working on DMROT again. < is currently in some desert with a bunch of missing cages and 15 lives. This other fangame feels harder than Redemption.

< somehow never tried the Dark Magician one. < just got a game over on the final boss of Redemption. < isn't sure < will ever be ready for it…

< doesn't look forward to it then if ^ is having trouble with it... :oops2:

< has been learning the hard way how easy it actually is to break dependencies on Linux. :P

< is up for the challenge, though if ^^ is having trouble it does make < concerned a little.

For one thing it's not a remake of R1 though it seems to be set within that universe. The gameplay is still relatively similar, there are just some elements in the game that's throwing < off (such as the bosses and the lack of hanging). If < hadn't quit and reloaded <'s game multiple times every time < died for some silly reason < would probably have at least one game over(s).

< wonders how often Micheál Martin's first name will be mispronounced on the international stage now that he's become leader of this country. :fou:

< read it as Michael at first somehow in <'s hungover half asleep state, which is likely how people are going to keep pronouncing it. :fou:

< knows how to pronounce it at least. Some people thought <'s name was "Stay-o". :P

Oh yes who could possibly have thought that, < wonders?

That could be as bad as calling < "The Joonster"

< says that ^ wasn't the only one to think it was Stay-o, a few others thought the same thing for some reason.

< just microwaved a cup of tea that < had abandoned when leaving the house earlier. < used a spreadsheet to calculate the time needed – < had tried that previously at work, but it went better this time since < actually measured the volume instead of guesstimating it, and also < targetted 90 °C instead of 100 °C to avoid overstressing the mug. :P

< never tried this actually, < would always just pour it out and make more, but then it's wasting teabags and the small amount of milk < uses. :P

< managed to beat that boss today, but as < somehow suspected, it turned out not to be the final one. < hadn't wanted to say which boss exactly, since it might be spoilerish, so < took the leap of faith and called it "final" here…

Speaking of the Dark Magician’s Reign of Terror, < just finished it last night. < found it enjoyable to say the least and < still had 12 lives remaining despite the many times < messed up. < hopes < will have a much easier time whenever < tackles the other save file.

< will gather's thoughts on the game first before posting in that topic

< will try to finish up <‘s Redemption file later today.

<'s computer still keeps having Firefox randomly segfault, then < has to reboot in order to make it open again. It's no wonder things keep having errors during compile if it's doing stupid things like this. :mefiant:

< tried reseating the RAM for now, if this doesn't do it then < will have to run memtest for a long time to try confirm if it's even RAM related, since it affected both Gentoo and Arch in the exact same way.

Cosmic rays strike again! :fou:
< remembers when < built <'s second LFS system in 2016, Make 3.1 kept segfaulting in the earliest steps and the only way to fix it was by using Make 3.0 instead. < never changed the RAM since then, so < isn't sure what the story was that day… :mefiant:
