Not a huge Pokémon guy myself (I don't dislike it, but I just never got into it, and the mountain of movies, TV show seasons, and trading cards I'd have to catch up on makes me not really want to :confus:), so here's a track from Sonic CD instead! :mryellow:

Sonic the Hedgehog CD (JP) - Palmtree Panic (Bad Future)

Fun fact: This is the first post on RPC that mentions Palmtree Panic since 2017! Isn't that neat?

Trust me, from a long-time Pokémon fan since the Game Boy era... You did yourself a big favor. :P
(Honestly, even if I experienced the cards and movies as a kid, all of that extra mercantile stuff has always felt completely irrevelant to me lol)

If you're ever gonna give the series a tiny bit of a try, just play the Black/White games as they're the perfect middle-ground between old and modern Pokémon (while being some of the most generous on gameplay/content).
HeartGold/SoulSilver are quite great too (if you don't mind slower battles and the lack of animations) as they're the most content-packed in the main series...
But most importantly, to never disappoint your wallet, avoid everything since the Switch era like the plague :noelnoir: (the recent games are still fun... but despite costing more than ever, they're some of the laziest products in the history of laziness :hap: ).

I would say ^ is a longer fan than me. Maybe I'm just saying that because Ihaven't played the games between gens 3 and 8.
I can't wait to give the gen 5 games a try, since multiple people have recommended this gen for me to try next after the ones I've already played. :D

Ever since I got Sonic X Shadow Generations, I've been preoccupied with playing and completing Sonic Generations (which I promised myself I would do first before jumping into the new campaign), so I haven't gotten to play Shadow Generations yet. Though that hasn't stopped me from listening to its awesome soundtrack! :D

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire - Soaring Dreams

One of the best additions in these remakes! :coeur:
(If only they didn't remove anything else as a trade-off :noelnoir: )

The original Generations is still 100% worth it! :mryellow:

My win-loss ratio with live-service games has been 1 to 2 so far: my only win was with Crash Team Rumble, and even then that ended its new content before it even crossed the 1-year mark. It's a shame that happened, because characters like Pinstripe and Tiny Tiger were just about to show up in the game's fourth season...

Meanwhile, MultiVersus ended up losing my interest (mainly because I was waiting for Scooby-Doo and Daffy Duck to show up, which they never did) and also ended service recently, and I ended up not being very good at Splatoon 3, even though I completed its Story Mode and was just okay at its Salmon Runs. Trust me, "you know you suck at Splatoon 3 when" you expect yourself to lose 5 or more Turf War battles in a row before you can even hope to nab a win.

If it's any consolation, at least Splatoon 3 had some good Spla-tunes.

I remember when the internet collectively lost their minds over this song when Forgotten Land came out. Though maybe I'm just blowing the reaction out of proportion again. :P

It is pretty groovy, ain't it? Plus, it's littered with easter eggs from other Mario games.

I woke up with this song (in French, obviously but I'm sharing it in english for you) located into a very mid animated movie that I haven't seen in 25 years. Ain't the brain great?
