When I was playing Rayman Advance (for the first three worlds, then I lost interest) I was surprised by how many times they were playing Mr Dark's theme in random areas. For a quick second, when I was going through Bongo Hills and I heard that, I was wondering if I'd have a random encounter with him right there.
I was so confused because of that the first time I played this version, but after all I understand why they did this as they had roughly 17 tracks available for this port and they couldn't afford to use Harmony in every single Band Land level and when it already became the GBA game's main theme!
In fact, so many players of this GBA adaptation remember this problem so vividly that someone saying "Ah yes, Mr Dark's Dare the track that played in like half of the levels!" became one of the top comments under my video dedicated to the evolution of Mr Dark's themes!
Specifically, it plays in most Band Land levels (but no other worlds, aside maybe from a few contexts with usually the suspense music I may have forgotten) and in every boss encounter (excluding the mosquitoes and Mr Stone)... Yes, even including Space Mama's battle in her space suit, despite the fact they already had an Advance version of Space Mama's Finale at hand, so you hear Space Mama's music as a Picture City level theme instead of a boss one! (Meanwhile, the chad Jaguar version had THREE Space Mama themes, so you'd hear variations of her theme both as a level and boss song! )
And it's surprisingly decent despite the GBA's godawful compression in this port! (So I did use it in the Redemption mod for Space Mama and -currently- for the Menace due to its alien-like appearance, as anyway, Mr Dark's Dare was gonna be heard in even more contexts to replace some of the new tracks by Ryemanni! )
Surprise! Mr. Dark's lair is secretly in Band Land and not Candy Chateau!
But yeah, I had the opposite experience, I knew no other tracks other than the title theme and Mr. Dark's theme before playing a real version of R1 that wasn't advance.
Here, an example of one of these tracks.

Today's Bananza blowout has me in a DK mood, so here's a song from my personal favorite Donkey Kong game!
Donkey Kong Country Returns - Jungle Hijinxs (DK Island Swing Returns) I know Tropical Freeze is considered a better game by most standards, but I have more memories of playing Returns on the Wii. Also it was the Rocket Barrel theme's debut, so it's automatically better in my eyes
I have more memories playing the older games. Here, my favorite track from my favorite DKC game!
Donkey Kong Country 2 - Forest Interlude

No way! So that means Mr Sax is actually Mr Dark in disguise?!

I find it somewhat funny that the above track counts as an "ambience" track, despite how it much more it (somewhat) sounds like a proper song than the others.

To be honest, I've yet to play DKC2 (heck, I've yet to finish DKC1), and I've heard some say that it's the best DKC game there is (or second best behind Tropical Freeze)! I'll be the judge of that once I get around to it, but until then, here's my favorite song from my favorite DKC game!
Donkey Kong Country Returns - Mine Menace (Rocket Barrel)

Is that why this plays in the penultimate level of Rayman Junior then?

It's not a bug, it's a feature!
Now let's all add this big reveal to RayWiki so Ubisoft can make it canon for the impending next "Triple A$$" port on the KFConsole
(Don't forget to add pictures so they can vandalize them for the achievements! )

Those games were unentionally comedy gold! "You've killed meeeee!!!" *melts into a puddle with his heart still beating*
"Good! "
The CD-I games feel like the textbook definition of "so bad it's good" at this point
"I hope she made lotsa spaghetti! "

Truth be told, Space Mama's Crater and Space Mama's Finale from the Jaguar soundtrack sounded pretty much the same to me, but I get what you mean.
"Join me Link, and I will make your face the greatest in Koridai... or else you will DIE! " *turns into a giant derpy malformed face*
In retrospective, it's funny how so much of the old Internet (mostly reviewers) made fun of their godawfulness as a way to incentivize people to absolutely avoid these games like the plague, but in the end, this made them a lot more well known in the long run than a good number of Zelda games by Nintendo!
The average person certainly hasn't heard of the Oracle games or Four Swords... but they most likely have seen at least a bit of the CD-I games through YouTube and Internet memes!
I honestly thought the tracks were identical until I noticed the different length and then looked at it through Audacity, and even then I can barely pinpoint what's really so different!

Is there a version of the educational game where the title screen music plays in the last level? I swear I remember it playing faintly in the background in the last level, though I recently checked and just heard the regular candy chateau music.

Yes, this music always plays in the last level: Since I played the EDU games first, to this day I associate that music with Mister Dark even though it's just the main menu music in most of the games!

"NO."
Despite how bad edutainment games generally are, I'm surprised that games like Hotel Mario and the CD-I Zelda games have still stuck around solely due to their memetic status. Really goes to show what the community can do with as bad of a game as that!

If that was his theme, then that might explain why his binoculars are always bordering the world map (even after you defeat him, if I remember correctly)...
Rayman Legends - Enchanted Forest Pursuit (Unused)
I know that the song is called "Enchanted Forest" in the soundtrack, but I'm certain they just mixed up the names of this and the track after this and didn't notice until after the OST was released.

Cool! I don’t know why, but the vibe of the last level with that song playing just hits different.
It’s one of my favourite Rayman songs, though I’m not a fan of the strings that come in at some parts.

Sonic Generations - White Space Medley
Nice assortment of arrangements here! I may never understand why they used E.G.G.M.A.N. for the Egg Dragoon gate instead of an arrangement of its boss theme, or why the Time Eater doesn't have a White Space theme, or why the 3DS version's White Space doesn't have its own arrangements of its levels, but it's still a good medley nevertheless!
(To this day, I'd still be willing to pay for a DLC for Sonic X Shadow Generations that would add the 3DS version's content to the main campaign; I know the console and 3DS versions were made with different engines, but come on SEGA, you guys can make it happen! ...please? )
