It turns out it's <'s aunt's birthday so the cake we ended up bringing to <'s friend's house wound up as the birthday cake!

< is going back to work on Monday, and < just watched the film adaptation of 1984. The relevance is that the last time < had a week's vacation, < spent the final weekend reading that very novel. Just a funny coincidence

Personally, < is doing all right, just a bit sick of working from home…
