And it works again, thank God! But now all the cores run hot under load :oops2:
< is pleased to report a happy ending to this story. < ordered one of these babies shortly after making that post, and it arrived yesterday. < held off on installing it until today (given that yesterday was Friday 13 :hap:) and now all four of <'s cores run at reasonable temperatures, even on full load, overclocked to 4.4 GHz (from 4 GHz) :teuf:

< used the Web Archive's "save page" function to avoid link rot on that link (for the same reason that we upload images as attachments instead of linking to external hosts). The original link is: https://www.scytheus.com/mugen-5-argb

The cooler's brand name (MUGEN) reminds < of R4Y_ANC3L. < wonders if they're doing all right these days…

When it doesn't work, there's an error in device manager under Windows, and some other error in Linux with dmesg. < can't recall exactly what error now though.

Well, since you ask…

<'s job satisfaction's been through the floor these last few months, but at least now < is able to go into the office again. So the social aspect is back to normal, and < can once again spend some time in the lab getting their hands dirty with things that are actually interesting. But even the bad parts of the job are a distraction from the sense of impending disaster < is feeling about world affairs. Weekend projects and gaming also help with that though, so overall < is doing fine for the moment :)

How are you?

< doesn't know exactly who said what but knows that they said it was from rayman
<is thankful even for that experience and was able to talk to the person which helped <
<only saw them the next day and wonders if < will ever see them again
<honestly has been emotional about leaving <'s school, < even made a post here yesterday which < deleted
<again is really grateful for that experience and is thankful to God and also that person that that could happen and really help < out. (Please don't give me crap for saying that.)
<hopes that everyone has a good rest of their week

< has noticed that a lot of people on Twitter are being urged to beg Ubisoft for a new Rayman game. < doesn't think that's such a good idea, encouraging a fan base to essentially harass a triple A company to get what they want. < thinks people should just take up game development and make their own Rayman fan games instead of expecting to bend over backwards in the hopes that Ubisoft will listen.

< hadn't heard about that trend but yeah, that sounds pretty counterproductive. < wonders if twitter mobs ever really accomplished anything…

< agrees that while it won't change anything in the grand scheme of things, more positivity would we appreciated from certain fans.

< would not be surprised if a certain couple of people here would be interested in the fact that < got a 3DS with a capture board in it. (Especially since Wifi streaming from a soft-modded 3DS isn't that great.)

< has the Raspberry Pi 4b setup to work with the Katsukity 3DS viewer so < could also enjoy the 3DS content on the big screen with minimal latency and convenience for streaming over to Discord with <'s capture setup.

Example is this screenshot from Pokemon Ultra Moon on my 3DS:

Other than that, < has been putting time into Pokemon Ultra Moon again, while also playing a bit of Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Games this year that < is looking forward to, would be Splatoon 3 for sure, and maybe Pokemon Scarlet/Violet as well.

< is just glad to also have played Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, since <'s a big fan of the series. Which now that <'s thinking about it, < should really work on playing Persona 5 again.
