Christmas is approaching, and while the entire world is looking forward to it, it is giving Santa and his elves a hard time somewhere in the polar regions.

Those billions of presents are not going to pack and deliver themselves, and everyone there wants to make sure kids worldwide will get the right presents on time.

Everyone? Maybe not.

The Whipping Father and his acolytes hate nothing more than the smile on a kid's face and believe not a single one of those whiny brats should get any present other than a lump of coal for the luckiest and a good whipping for the others.

They have infiltrated Santa's secret complex with the only goal of neutralizing him and his elves so that they can forever change Christmas into a day of fear and suffering.

Will they succeed? You tell us.

Ah, greetings, my peers! it seems that, after a couple years in hiatus, the Mafia games have returned, and no doubt with them an equally blood-thirsty Mafia set out to destroy Christmas for the rest of eternity. However, I believe that through jolly co-operation the honourable heroes will come through victorious and give those putrid evil-doers the punishment they deserve for even the thought's of their heinous acts. Enjoy this peaceful night, get to know your peers, for it may be your only chance, because in this game of sleuthing and secrecy we never know who will be next to fall, but with great teamwork comes greater chance of victory in the noble quest to save Christmas!

So, the game has begun. I have to say I'm looking forwards to how this game goes. Hopefully, the elves will be strong and conquer the Whipping Father and his acolytes with as few deaths as possible! At the moment, I'm not sure what the best strategy should be, but with some conversing we will be able lynch all the Mafiosos and save Christmas for good!

So we all have our different roles, and some might be useful to others, and some may not be very useful at all. The trouble is we don't want the acolytes knowing what they are, as they might also be useful to them. Nevertheless, I feel that the best way to succeed is to use all of our roles in combination to maximise the chance of finding the acolytes and killing them before they kill us.

That is indeed the game. We just have to keep our eye out on members who seem a little too suspicious.

Could not have possibly worded better myself, Hamlet my boy. Simply put, for those of us new to this sort of thing who are still trying to get the gist of it, if someone asks you for your role, be wary of them, don't immediately write them off as Acolyte and potentially go cry wolf to everyone because the only thing that may achieve is raising suspicion on oneself, the Acolyte's should be smart enough to avoid asking for roles anyway, but it could still happen. Furthermore, although there's the possibility some of us may have incredibly useful abilities that could find out someone's true identity as an acolyte, calling out your findings first thing the next morning will make you a easy target for the rest of the acolytes, I'd personally try to single out someone who you believe to be on your side and perhaps send all your findings to them in the event something horrible happens to you. However if your wrong and that person who you've set crucial info to turns out to be an acolyte, lets hope the information you sent won't jeopardize the elves' victory too badly, and if it does... well, you tried, let's leave it at that.

But for now, Here's to a good game, good game, gamey gamey game game.
