< hasn't really played many modern games as of lately. < was recently playing Conker's Bad Fur Day on Rare Replay on <'s Series X. < thought it was a really fun game, and < also found the end a little darker (but very true) than expected. < wishes games were still like this nowadays, they had a lot of charm even without the multiplayer element.
< doesn't really play many modern games <self actually, as <'s more of a retro guy, but < thinks there are still some quality games which have either already been released (as is the case with Psychonauts 2 for example), or are being made (like with Hollow Knight: Silksong). < thinks Psychonauts 2 especially is an amazing sequel to an already great first game, especially with all the cool elements they've added in terms of gameplay like the new enemies or the deeper story. But yeah, < sees what ^ means of course.

< admits < is guilty of playing a few modern game here and there (< has like 10 game for the Switch). Though to be honest < hasn't started on a lot of them due to the fact that < is still playing games from <'s past, like Mario Kart Double Dash, Donkey Kong Country, and Pokemon Colosseum.
< says to ^^ Thankgiving is an American thing so ^^ probably wouldn't know about it.

< has had a lot of fun with indie games as ^ mentions also. < has the Series X and a PC here when it comes to modern gaming, but <'s PS5 is back in Ireland. < has a few other older consoles here too such as a PS2, NES, N64 etc. < often plays the Xbox though because it feels nice to chill in the sofa and sit back. < always liked doing that and playing with a controller, it's cosy.

< Bought Psychonauts 2 and still has yet to complete it, so no worries. < Has arrived home from picking up <'s mom at the airport. There was a bunch of traffic, and apparently because it was due to families arriving for Thanksgiving, which makes sense. Just annoyed < a bit. < Does not enjoy driving <'s mom's car.

Ah yeah, < still needs to complete Psychonauts 2 as well. < should thank ^ for reminding < about it. Not that < will get to it anytime soon. Though < still likes the original Psychonauts a lot, especially for the soundtrack. It sounds so good!
^ Had to drive ^'s mother's car? < thought ^ would have picked her up in ^'s own car.

< says ^ is welcome. < Enjoys the original as well. < Had to drive <'s mother's car because she would drive back with it, and would need the space for her luggage. < Is still deciding on whether or not to play Super Mario RPG remake or the original first.

Ah okay, < understands now. Especially if ^'s mother is used to her own car. Plus especially when luggage space is a big concern, < gets it.
< is honestly indifferent on which version of Super Mario RPG for ^ to play. < thinks ^ probably may be happy with either choice, maybe the remake? < hasn't decided if < would get the game or not yet. Though since <'s brother is hounding < for Christmas gift ideas for <, maybe Super Mario RPG remake could be the one.
< Also knows that we're nearing the end of this weekend's Splatfest for Splatoon 3. < has already achieved the Ruler rank. < knows ^ hasn't gotten there quite yet.

< would usually play the older games first to get a feel for how the games originally played like, before < would go for the remakes. Just giving ^^ <'s two cents on that matter. Not sure though if the original Super Mario RPG might be on that SNES online catalogue that you get from applying for that family membership thing....or whatever the heck it's called.

< always likes to at least try out the originals too even if the remake seems good. In most cases, the older game still retains its charm, but there are cases where they do an incredible job on the remake. Of course, that's very clearly not always the case.

< says that Splatfest in Splatoon 3 ended tonight, where teams Handshake, Fist Bump, and Hug all battle it out. Handshake won, to <'s surprise.
Here's the screenshot < took off <'s OBS capture here:
< did get to play with Neo during this Splatfest.

< Is surprised Handshake won. Yet, < is not complaining about that. < Will take the extra snails.

< will never complain about the extra sea snails, that's for sure!
So < has been debating a few things, whether or not to buy all the components and get the screen upgraded in <'s Sega Nomad or just pay extra and send it in and have it done for <. < can do it, but it depends on how lazy < is feeling sometimes.
Oh, and the good news is <'s new chair should be arriving tomorrow! It'll be nice to get rid of the current junk chair out of here.

< Is still using a folding chair after all this time. < Should follow your example here and order a comfortable chair for once, it really gets tiring sitting on this chair, especially while taking hours to make a signature. < Is going to watch a show and then sleep. < Bids everyone good night.

When < first brought <'s computer abroad, < had to use a wooden kitchen chair for a while before < got an office chair.
< also says goodnight to ^. < didn't get a lot of sleep and might have to nap at some point later.

< Definitely suggests a good quality office chair, and avoid the hell out of anything labeled "Gaming Chair". Those are overpriced garbage that are worse than cheap office chairs.

< says hello to Plum as well! < manages to avoid the grinchiness because < doesn't really watch the news. < probably should, but this allows < to be able to enjoy life and not be too stressed. However, this leaves < really uninformed with the situation in Isreal. < Can only give light speculation, but that's as much < will be willing to give. < Thinks the problem is that there is less focus on Thanksgiving and more on Christmas at this time. <'s birthday usually falls on that day, sometimes not, so it would be nice to see some focus. Oh well, < will be enjoying Turkey and Cake. At least that is the usual, < had too much cake from <'s sister's birthday (Oct 29th, and she did join the board a while back), so < asked for meat pies instead of cake this year.
< almost missed this reply!
Good point about Thanksgiving! With that in mind, it makes a lot more sense to be "festive" in November in America than it does here, but < guesses we just imported it anyway thanks to commercialism. Like how Black Friday suddenly became a thing here in the mid-2010s, and people lapped it up…
