Ditto on the chocolate, < has recently developed a chocolate raisin addiction. < used to only take one or two from the jar and call it a day but <'s intake has been monotonically increasing every day. < isn't satisfied now without taking a brimming fistful.
That's sad to hear about Kung Fu Panda 4, < was actually quite excited to watch it considering the first three were pretty good

It wasn't that bad, < was admittedly over exaggerating it as < had just seen it. It was honestly just aggressively medicore, it's like a 5/10 film.
The credits song was great tho

Maybe < could create a new topic for this, < has a lot more to say about the film.

Is there a new FF7 game? < didn't know that

< started a new savegame of Red Dead Redemption a couple of weeks ago and was having a lot of fun (< still thinks RDR1 is better than RDR2), but this week < has been playing F1 23 as it was a free game on PS Plus.
< is attending a wedding on Saturday. A friend from college is getting married. < finds it surprising, as it isn't common to see people getting married that soon.

< wonders how the wedding went. < coincidentally also attended a wedding last Saturday. Despite the rain <'s cousin got married in an outdoor (humanist) ceremony, surrounded by poplars. It was actually really nice! Later in the evening when it got dark, we returned to the same spot for the first dance of the evening, and some people made sarcastic comments likening the setting to a coven of witches

< guesses that that association goes back to a "fear of nature" that has become embedded in civilization since the time of the Romans…
The next day < also attended Saint Patrick's Day mass in a church appropriately named after Saint Patrick, which was also really nice! The choir were amazing, and < always loves celebrating the patron saint of <'s country (Ireland) and career (Engineering)!

<'s glad to hear that. < will keep an eye on it, even if < currently has some other games as a priority

< had a great day. It was the very first time < attended a wedding with friends, so it was a completely different experience. The weather was also fantastic, it was a hot, sunny day, around 26ºC. Firstly, < went to the girlfriend's house (<'s friend who was getting married) with <'s friends. All of her family got extremely emotional (not gonna blame them, there were plenty of reasons to do so

). After an hour and a half, we went to the place where we were celebrating the wedding. < went there the day before with <'s friend to help decorating the place, hid the gift and to put 1.5kg of rice on the bed they were going to sleep at after the wedding

. < knew <'s friend put a lot of effort at looking for good food for that day, and it wasn't disappointing at all. The wedding cake was made from Ferreros and now < has the necessity to learn how to do that

.
< and <'s friends gave them the gift (money) that same day. As we met her at college, we decided to hide the money in different test tubes filled with coloured salt as a little homage of the start of our friendship. She didn't expect it and she absolutely loved it. Party ended at 9:15 pm. < thought it was going to be as boring as the wedding of <'s cousin, but it was extremely different and < had a lot of fun.
< didn't know the engineers also had a patron! 2019 was the last year < celebrated <'s career patron. Newbies had (and still have) to do a conga line through all the university singing we were going to fuck Law students

. Casually, <'s career patron is the exact same day as <'s birthday, so it always was a double celebration

<‘s started organising <‘s new laptop and transferring things from <‘s old laptop to the new one. < is having trouble being satisfied with the new VMs < has implemented in Virtualbox though. Some programs < wanted to run are not running smoothly like they did in <‘s old laptop. <‘s got more experimenting to do…

< says virtual machines will always be worse in performance than native hardware; virtualization’s bound to have some overhead.

Well, < is clearly not from Europe like nearly everybody else here is.
If only the edutainment programs < wanted to play were compatible with modern versions of Windows, that would be even better! But alas not at the moment < suppose. < was able to fix the issue, which was just to add a second processor. Most of them are working well enough now.

That’s an easy one, it’s the one with a Windows 11 OS.

< has to admit < completely forgot about it too
< returned home on Monday. < was out last weekend for Easter holidays. <'s friends wanted to go to Zaragoza. < went last year for work reasons, but < didn't mind and went there too. < enjoyed it way more with friends (obviously) and had the opportunity to visit a palace < couldn't visit last year

• the rayman 3 small box collectors edition
