Jokes aside, < is notorious for doing this while reading things, especially if it has a lot of text. < will find <'s self overwhelmed and even try to jump forward or read in chunks if that makes sense. So it doesn't become a linear paragraph to <'s brain like it should be, but just batches of info with even some being missed. It's hard to explain, but that's how it feels.
