< spent a fair bit of time trying to get burnt grease off the oven racks and having some success with soda crystals and a heavy duty sponge, but not 100%.

Mmmm....< can't imagine cleaning an oven til it's spotless. < mean....there's oven cleaner....but < heard it smells really bad.
