< has just learned that folks apparently found the old Spongebob credits song creepy, which < finds kinda surprising...< always thought they sounded kinda chill.

< has to admit that gave < a laugh. < never found that song creepy. If that's the case why are they watching Spongebob at all, they DO know some episodes play this tune right?

From what < can gather, it's a sort of empty, liminal feeling they provoke. < can't say < gets it, but < supposes that's fair enough?

To each their to own, as far as <'s concerned a good chunk of the older SpongeBob episodes are classics, < believes they occupy the same sort of zeitgeist as classic simpsons does at this point. Definitely when it comes to the memes at least xD

< thinks the reason < finds it so ominous is because it’s noticeably darker and has less music, and when it does play < thinks it sounds quite eerie. < also gets creeped out by old stuff but that’s more 50+ year old things while SpongeBob is still relatively young

Strange, < knows that older Spongebob doesn't look quite as vibrant, but < took that down to the fact it was traditionally animated rather than digitally as it was now. Truth be told, < kinda prefers how it looked back then, < doesn't have anything against digital animation, it's fine and in fact can look really good, but in batch cases where you've got a ton of episodes all at once, it can tend to look a little...stilted at times if it's not very well done.

< supposes the counter-argument is that traditionally animated shows that were in bulk could have a lot of animation errors and off-model issues. < can point to the original Transformers cartoon for examples of that.

< hasn’t watched any newer SpongeBob episodes so < can’t speak on that art. < can say that older ones are great. <‘s most memorable ones are “Pressure” and “Texas”

Ugh, there's still never enough time in a weekend to get things done. < had a lot < wanted done but with so many things that came up, Final Fantasy XIV included, time just flies.

< is building a giant wall in <‘s Minecraft world to separate <‘s fantasy builds with <‘s more quirky builds

< will most likely not draw anything for a while. After <'s "vacation" at <'s parents < has three days before getting on a holiday to Cambodia.
