Meh, I hope this doesn't turn out to be true, I'd rather they stick to the dual upgrade of the third version, and not some weird version by version upgrade, as that'd make one version extremely more lucrative than the other two. Kinda throws off the balance of having versions.

It's worth noting that Game Freak trademarks most potential "remake names" (Like Water Blue and such) but it's still one to ponder.
Only time will tell if that's true or not but if it is true, that's the version I'm totally getting instead of Alpha Sapphire. Simply because my original generation 3 game was Emerald.

I'm thinking of getting Omega Ruby. The original Ruby was my first Gen 3 game.

Yeah I'd go for Ruby too as that's the one I had.

Alpha Sapphire for me, I always go for the ''blue versions''

Hmm, if I did get into it, I'd probably go for Omega Ruby, I always usually tend to the Red. (Pearl and HeartGold, and I want Y, not X). The only exception to that rule was with Gen V, I went for White and White 2, though I guess it's a bit more dubious in that case given that they alternate between being Blue and then Red.

Y version exclusives suck compared to 'X', just sayin'.

It's a matter of preference, at the end of the day (Though I admit, the major shift is because I'm more for Yveltal). I'm not exactly a hardcore Pokemon player either, I'd have no doubt any member here could give me a proper trouncing in battle.

But how can you turn down Houndoom

Meh, I've never really latched onto any non-starter/legendary Pokemon in particular in the grand scale of things. Besides, the point of version exclusivity is to encourage trading and interaction with other players, no?

Well it is down to personal preference, but still I'd rather start with more of the ones I liked and then trade

It's understandable, my main point is that I'm not that deeply bothered by version exclusivity when it comes to wild 'mon, I'm more for the legendaries. I guess I'm quite the casual in that aspect.

That is pretty causal!

Ehh, I wanted to make a witty statement about "causal" being put in place of "casual," but I'm lacking in wit today by the looks.
So, glossing over that potential snipe, indeed.

*casual

Mehh, I wanted to make a witty statement...
Still, let's keep our focus on the 'mon then. So, you're more for X, hm?

Can't say i'm that much different to Master, I usually go favourite mascot legendary or if not that then the colour. This time round though, depending on the version exclusivity of content I may consider getting both.

Reasons to have X:
Starmie
Pinsir
Houndoom
Mightyena
Aggron
Reasons to have Y:
Cloyster
Kabutops
5 vs 2.
And that's why 'X' gets my vote.
